  1. The Brewers play like they are helping write the script for the next bad news bears movie.
  2. Willy hits like this team plays, one step forward, one step back.
  3. You don't get those Apple bites playing rookies over vets.
  4. I guess they thought they'd pay $8M for replacement level performance? I guess when you're paying Yelich $24M then McCutcheon seems like a steal.
  5. I'm optimistic the Spring Training lineup the Cubs are fielding won't score tonight.
  6. Well we wait for a Passed ball, balk, WP or Error (only the error requires the Brewers make contact).
  7. I'll go out on a limb and say the Brewers won't gain any ground tonight. Doesn't matter if they win, the Padres won't blow their 6-0 lead in the 3rd (they seem to be able to score runs against a crappy KC team) and the Phillies will outlast the Pirates.
  8. It's almost like the cubs know you can put 2 Brewers on and their chances of scoring only go up 0.00001%, makes force outs easy.
  9. Well if anything the Brewers are consistently average.
  10. For me I don't have a great need for more Spring Training coverage. I've just got to the point that I don't put much stock into what happens in those games to determine what I think about the players/coaches. In reality 2/3rds of a hitters PA are against other teams end of their roster or not going to make the team players and for pitchers the same, mostly pitching to players not going to see MLB. Add on top of that the varying degree that players are working on specific pitches, mechanics, etc. most of the data from Spring Training is low, low quality. Hearing about prospects is nice, but like a hollywood movie road show, nobody will say anything other than they are the best prospect ever, work hard, blah, blah blah. Would there be actual coverage that is balanced or just more spin?
  11. 1) Craigtember hasn't been a thing since 2019. Do we still think it's a thing? We shall see. 2) They have struggled to beat bad teams because they are an average team. They are under +30 for run differential so far because they just aren't putting enough good pitching and/or good hitting together. Can they? I guess, but will they? Edit: Title shouldn't read " in September", but "starting today".

  13. I know the conventional wisdom is that you don't replace a veteran kicker with years of success in a year you are going "all-in", but while we have seen a ST crapfest leading to a playoff exit, we haven't seen a field position problem leading to a playoff exit. Until the ST can get near average that's still a possibility and having to defend every kickoff from the 40/45 because your kicker can't put it deep into the end zone consistently is going to be a problem at some point.
  14. It still is the Packers special teams. Likely better odds to kick and get a packer ST error than go for it.
  15. Amari seems to be getting separation on his routes, but I haven't seen winfree with more than a step tonight.
  16. Total missed block on Heflin. See it happens to other teams too.
  17. Until the unit can stop returns, just have him outkick the coverage.
  18. It's like they switched the playbooks for return vs kicking. No lanes to run when we are returning. Lanes to run everywhere when we are kicking, now a muff and 5 yard line. Mind boggling bad.
  19. These refs suck. Offensaive pass interference right in front of the play. I hop we don't get this group during the season. they suck
  20. Yep, but I think they'll stick with Mason and maybe try to stash Ahmed on the practice squad.
  21. Hey! Tyler Davis not looking like an idiot!
  22. Every game he's looked pretty bad much of the time. If he makes the team. IJDK.
  23. They are missing a lot tonight. Offensive face masking on the chiefs early on their TD drive in front of everyone. Then they didn't signal TD when Taylor clearly was in (The Packers had illegal formation and it was called back), but still he was clearly in. then the kicker.
  24. Winfree isn't getting many looks tonight, but that likely means they already made a decision on him.
