Something tells me that Pratt is playing SS this year and Ortiz moves back over to 3B. I don't think Hamilton is going to hit enough to stay up all season.
Espn gave us a C saying they have no idea how to grade us. It's not a traditional offseason after winning 98 games. It feels like they are putting a bit waiting for next year when made etc are ready.
I like the 3b we have in our pipeline but I really don't want to have to rely on them and not have a vet on the bench in case they hit a rough spot. We need more offense at the moment.
Anyone else think we picked up Jett to trade him for someone else? With Pratt/made and Pena it's going to be hard to find a spot for him on the big league roster.
If we do need to trim $8m from they payroll, I'd rather they trade Vaughn instead. I think he's getting like 7.5 . We have 3 or 4 draft picks that could fill in or move Collins there for 2026. I don't trust Vaughn to repeat what he did the 2nd half.
I feel like we needed to raise the floor and there's no plan B if something were to happen to ortiz at SS without moving everyone around. I would have liked to see us pick up a quality inf would could play short.
Not sure what to make of it, he hasn't had the best track record.
