    Is Reyes on the 40-man? seems like he's been around awhile.

    most rookies suck, even guys that end up having a nice career. Predicting two will be 4 WAR guys is unreasonable. None of them should be expected to be better than Renfroe. Love to be proven wrong, but the odds are on my side.

    keep them through 2024, sure. But if you aren't going to try to win in 2023, you might as well start the reload now, so whatever players we acquire can overlap with our current prospects. There's no way we can improve upon Renfroe in 2023; or the only way to do it is if Wiemer comes up and is a rookie of the year candidate. Wiemer needs to at least start 2023 in Nashville. If you can get value for Taylor you trade him; a playoff team that loses an OF to injury might pay well during Spring Training; I'd rather develop the 4 AAA OFers than keep Taylor. The only way to trade Yelich is if you are adept at black magic.

    Unless traded in a trade that improves 1B (which will be hard to accomplish), I think it's a no-brainer to keep him. There's no one in the minors who can replace him

    You should look at the starts of the other guys like Ashby and Alexander, Small and Chi-chi compared to Anderson, etc. We're getting worse innings from them, too.

    On one hand, I can see a GM going down the list and saying "I want three of these guys." Because they have some potential. On the other hand, GMs aren't just looking at the Brewers; they'd have to like our guy more than all the other available players from the other teams. Plus usually there aren't many players who get selected. Turang is the only one that should definitely be protected. Richards and Uribe haven't been healthy; unless a GM has had a man-crush on them for years, I don't see them getting selected. I know Robinson has been very good, but it's only for one year. What kind of stuff does he have? Most teams don't put their best prospects in the pen. I can't see a GM getting excited unless he throws 98mph. He's very young to be eligible. Devanney has been good only this year. He wasn't a highly touted prospect. I've got to believe that most teams have someone they think is better in the minors. I think his floor is eventually as a AAAA callup, like Reyes or Mathias. That has little value. . Of course some of those guys turn into Jace, who has more value.

    He hit over .250 in every season before this one. At his age, he could still get better. The ceiling might be his performance with the brewers last year.
