  1. I hope to flip Taylor for something during the first half of next season, and having 2-3 of our OF prospects up. I'm guessing management won't want to promote them en masse until June. We need Renfroe next season, at least until Wiemer is up and producing; doesn't make sense trying to upgrade there, if the upgrade is just another stopgap. 1B, 3B, and pitching are places where an upgrade will help more. Trading one of the AAA+ OFs is a reasonable thing to do if they can upgrade another position long-term. If Jace leaves, I'd love to upgrade at 3B and have Urias and Turang playing multiple positions.
  2. Bickford's been crap this year.
  3. I'd be surprised if he got that much. I'm not sure he'll get more than 2-3 years right now.
  4. That's very pessimistic for Frelick. A little pessimistic for Turang if you're talking about his peak.
  5. He hasn't pitched over 3 innings since 2020.
  6. there was reason to be suspect about him because he kept being bad in close games. He got better.
  7. I mean, if they win 25% of the rest of their games, or there's fights, drug use, or orgies in the locker room, sure.
  8. except that he was bad with us for some time. Granted, not this bad.
  9. Wonder if Wiemer can have another 25+HR,, 30+ SB years. Needs 5 HR and 1 SB.
  10. Jackson Chourio has a younger brother (by 14 months) in the DSL where his OBP was well north of .400. why didn't we sign him too?
  11. Following Hader has kinda been like watching a train wreck. Feel sorry for him. Wonder if the Brewers knew they were trading damaged goods. Of course, SD did that as well, but Rogers hasn't been that bad.
  12. The thing is, Mitchell might be well served if he emulates Yelich earlier this year where he ground everything into the the turf. That would work for Mitchell.
  13. It will be huge if Yelich has his power stroke back. And can Rowdy stop trying to steal now?
  14. Lauer took 27 pitches in the last 2 innings. Maybe he can go 6.
  15. Don't worry, Mitchell will start his career with a 4-run HR in spite of batting first in the inning. (Cue Chuck Norris jokes. . .)
  16. Ack! It was me who was looking at the wrong column. Sorry.
  17. apparently you didn't add the walks and hbp to ABs.
  18. So you think his last 3 games is enough of a window to decide to play him? He hit a HR the game before that. In the last 3 games his OBP was just over .300 (1 hit, two walks, one hbp). Admit your bias and stop posting about Hiura.
  19. No it's not. Ruiz already has 14 days of major league service. So he won't be breaking AZ with the major league team either.
  20. I wasn't dumbfounded by the Lamet DFA. Went to his baseball reference page, and he's wearing a Brewer's hat even though he never played for us.
  21. 1B, 3B, or C are the best places to improve the roster. 1B are the cheapest to acquire (trade or FA).
  22. At first I thought wtaf when they promoted Mitchell over Frelick and Ruiz. Then the conspiracy theories kicked in. They promoted Mitchell over those two guys (in spite of Frelick being more productive and Ruiz being on the 40-man) because they knew there was no way in hell Mitchell is up next year before June, so he'll still have <6 years of service at the end of 2028. Bastards. It's not about who they thought was more ready.
  23. A lot of games are won by a run or two. That's always been true.
