  1. Frelick .556, Ruiz .667 batting for Nashville. That has to hold up for the rest of the year, right?
  2. Is Peralta on a known pitch count? I assume it's at least 50, since he threw 52 in his last game.
  3. Does he get good jumps? His long legs should cover the ground if he can get good starts.
  4. So. . . Joey Wiemer is the best base stealer in the system.
  5. Batters could have a hard time picking up the ball with his delivery.
  6. I've thought he might have a trajectory similar to Tyrone Taylor who was a more highly rated prospect, took a dip, and then recovered a bit of his prospect status. The only problem is that there are a ton of players between him and Milwaukee.
  7. I'm wondering if some of those promotions were done to assure Nashville is a playoff juggernaut (at the expense of lower-level teams having a worse chance for the playoffs). Do organizations covet getting playoff experience for the minor league players?
  8. I hope Hader wins a WS, assuming the Brewers don't play the Padres in the playoffs and are knocked out by some other team.
  9. What I mean is that the player would still be under control of their team and another team couldn't sign him. Take for example Tyrone Taylor; if he doesn't stick in the majors after this season, he'd be one of these guys. He's been useful, but shouldn't really be a starter. And if Frelick and Ruiz get promoted (with Mitchell in the wings) next year, Taylor could be off the major league team.
  10. I was going to say it was time to cut bait on Corey, and wish him future success elsewhere. I don't know what would be the best thing for him. I hope he saved much of his $4.1M signing bonus.
  11. I was going to reduce my grade because they still had 3 catchers on the roster, and at least they could have improved the roster by waiving Severino. Now I don't have to. Everyone who thought Lamet was a key piece should now reduce their grade.
  12. They literally aren't because they'd still be under the control of their team.
  13. I wish Frelick would get some play in CF, since he's our best bet for improving the roster next season, but with Mitchell and Ruiz, He'll never get to play there.
  14. They had only two starting pitchers who weren't crap and now they have four. That's a big difference.
  15. They did MASSIVELY improve the OF in Nashville. And that's what really matters, innit?
  16. St Louis got a new #3 and #4 starter. That will help them.
  17. B- The Hader and Bush trades kinda work, in tandem. I think it makes the bullpen better for the rest of the season and we got a couple of prospects. The Rosenthal trade makes no sense to me, unless they've seen video of him throwing 100 with good command (which is basically impossible, since he's not ready to pitch). Peters was a bright spot this season, and I think he could have been a backup in the majors. Trading from a position of strength (OF) is a good thing, but I wish we got a better player, even if we had to give up a better player.
  18. I like this trade least of all. Peters isn't destined for major league greatness, but I wouldn't be surprised if he's on a ML roster for 2.5 years over a 5 year period. Those guys have some value. I don't know that Rosenthal has any value.
  19. you called Ruiz Perez in the first paragraph of your article.

    1. Joseph Zarr

LOL. That’s not good eh? Thanks for the heads up.

  20. but it's not like it would take much to improve on him either. They should get whichever hitter they can get, and maybe send one of our players back. If McCutchen is the one who's replaced, so be it.

  22. there are plenty of good CF who don't have great arms. he'd be a bad OF even if he had a better arm.

  24. Dangit. This helps them.
