  1. 85-77. The injury bug bites their pitching staff yet again. Woodruff won’t it make it to August. Chourio .280/.337/.498. Cubs win the division in a close 3 team race with 90 wins and the Reds with 84.
  2. I sure hope they move Tom to left tackle at $25M/yr. Cuz it’s would be absolutely crazy to pay a RT that much money.
  3. We would be way worse off at CB in ‘25 than in ‘24 with this prediction of Valentine, Harrison (rookie) and Nixon starting. I’d rather take Barron (if he’s still available) or Amos (Miss) and would definitely consider Revel Jr. (E Car.) and Morrison (ND) even with their injuriy concerns over Harrison. Most sites are predicting Harrison late second/early third round.
  4. I seriously doubt that Gutey will sign any FA that are close to 30 yo based upon previous history.
  5. I’ll go one bigger than that. He has no business staying in the MiLB. With the much more competitive nature of the NL Central they need to select their best players to start the season.
  6. At this point I would even think of adding an extra player would be an overpay. There is absolutely no way I would go any higher than a 3rd round pick. He just isn’t that good at that price (not to even mention an $30,000,000 contract) and another player that would be a headache for MLF.
  7. It’s called steroids.
  8. Wow, just wow. This is an all-time rant. Congratulations.
  9. 3B will be the definite black hole in the lineup this year. It’s too bad we couldn’t obtain a real MLB starting level player at that position rather than the backups of Durbin, Black, Dunn and Monasterio, although I believe Black will start at 3B as often as Frelick will. The starting staff also looks a little on the light side compared to 24 with Woodruff and Hall likely to be in and out of the 26 man roster with their tender shoulders. I see Collins as a surprise as the primary infield backup with Durbin a big disappointment and Dunn with a similar season as last year.
  10. The 49er’s have granted Deebo Samuel his trade request this weekend. A 3rd round draft pick should get him on a jet to Green Bay. Sounds like a perfect answer to the Packers issues at WR.
  11. Zach Tom for 4/100 is a ridiculous overpay considering he plays RT and underperformed last season. That would put him just behind Wirfs and Sewell at #3 and ahead of Lane Johnson. There is no way he performs near that level. I wouldn’t go over 16M/year. Slaton is at best a middle of the road NT/DT and replacing him with a middle round draft pick are always an available option. The defensive positions that need to be focused on are pass rusher and a couple of CBs with great options for both in the draft and free agency this off-season. Metcalf might be the best option at WR with Higgins and Godwin overpriced. I seriously doubt that the Jets are ready to give up on Wilson without requesting a huge payday in return.
  12. I believe there is < 5% chance that you will see Frelick start at 3B.
  13. I agree. Even though they need another starter or two, it might be like putting a square peg into a round hole. With previous arm problems it might be best to leave him as a multi-inning reliever, or at the very least moving him to a piggy- back starter. With all the SP injuries seen in MLB the last few years that probably is how handling pitching staff is evolving.
  14. I think it has everything to do with the ending of each season. 2023 ended on a definite upswing with a lot of positivity. 2024 couldn’t have ended any worse with the offensive hitting rock bottom.
  15. He definitely needs to attend QB “summer school” this off-season.
  16. Except he’s a #2 WR on the Bengals. Probably our best shot is a 30 something former all-pro.
  17. That *THUD* you just heard was Vince rolling over in his grave.
  18. Lies, damn lies and statistics. They are meaningless.
  19. Come on MLF control your players.
  20. Lol, that’s his first call on his play sheet.
