  1. Here is anothe Ortiz read… https://www.camdenchat.com/2023/11/3/23942456/orioles-prospects-joey-ortiz-season-review-2023
  2. Tyler Black is 23y6 mo. Not that large a difference in age between him and Ortiz.
  3. With Gunner Henderson as the O’s starting SS I don’t think there was much of a chance for him to start ahead of him.Do you?
  4. I don’t know very much about Ortiz, however, after looking at his AAA stats from last year calling him a utility infielder seems to be a slight over-the-top appraisal. A 0.321/0.378/0.507 batting line and a 60 grade as a defensive SS looks pretty impressive to me. Could someone please tell me what I’m missing?
  5. Leonhard hasn’t even been mentioned in the national media as a possible DC candidate.
  6. Who really cares what number he is assigned. Do we really need to worry about trivial things. Obviously, Rhys doesn’t. It must still be the off-season.
  7. You must be kidding, he was 4 for 9 in FGs from 40-49 yards (44.4%). The next lowest was 4/6 (Tyler Bass). He ranked 24th in FG percentage at 81.8%. He ranked 25th in XP% at 87.2% (33 yards). Essentially this was right in line with his stats in college. I just don’t see where the “incredible talent” and “HUGE leg” comments comes from. I see a poor kicker with just average leg strength. It is so important to make kicks from 30-49 yards if you expect to make the playoffs. At the very minimum Gutey should bring in a couple of kickers next summer and may the best man win.
  8. Free Agent Safeties Antoine Winfield Jr. - TB Kamren Curl - Wash Kyle Dugger - NE Xavier McKinney - NYG Geno Stone - Balt.
  9. I guess I’m more conservative than most. Put as many sure (?) points on the board as you possibly can. LouisEly listed a plethora of things that could have changed the outcome of the game. I was just adding another possible one. What my main point was that when MLF and/or Gutey identify a problem area they tend to ignore it or at least let it fester for a while before correction ( I.e; ST coordinator, kicker, etc.). There should be some intervention in the team system to prevent this. Carlson had shown he wasn’t a reliable kicker way back in August. There was no reason he should have been kicking in a January playoff game.
  10. You can always pick out any number of failures that lead to a loss, and this had many. But replacing a bad kicker is the easiest correctable one. I could see he was a major problem this season, way back in the preseason. Don’t forget MLF passing on kicking a FG at the 14 yard line in the first quarter, especially when you’re a 10 point underdog on the road. But Carlson would have probably missed that one, too.
  11. This observation is right on target. Fix the easy problems right away instead of throwing away 3-4 games a season.
  12. Exactly, Carlson didn’t miss 13 kicks this year due to other players mistakes. Another example of the Packers ignoring another obvious flaw of their team and missing out on another SB appearance. Remember when they had another Super Bowl appearance lost when the 49ers block that punt. You cannot continually ignore a weakness, especially one that is as easily correctable as replacing a kicker.
  13. Could be worse. At least Rodgers was isn’t our QB.
  14. What hurts is you just can’t let these opportunities pass. You just can’t count on getting to this point in the playoffs.Hopefully next year will end better, God knows were due for something positive happening in the playoffs.
  15. Love needed to check down and call short passes with TE or WR leaking out toward the sideline when he could see them sell out with an all out pass rush. I still think a LT is still the number 1 need in the draft.
  16. Maybe the blame could be hung on another missed kick by Anders Carlson. I truly hope that the FO doesn’t continue to remain pig-headed and bring a couple of kickers into training camp and compete for the position next summer.
  17. I don’t follow what you are attempting to say. Please clean up syntax to make your post more understandable.
  18. Hope you don’t get indigestion or they didn’t spit in your sandwich(es).
  19. Let’s see how the refs call this one.
  20. Carlson would have missed the FG, anyways.
  21. I thought Walker was fast? What a loser.
