  1. His BB rate was fine in AA for as many batters as he was striking out. And he didn't even walk anybody in AA in June. Meanwhile, his AAA BB rate is heavily inflated by his first couple appearances. His stuff is MLB ready.
  2. I would argue he doesn't need much more, if any. His stuff is ready, and he's ready.
  3. Looking forward to hearing their plans for 1B...
  4. Well, that provides some explanation to something that was to this point inexplicable re. Rowdy... But, where is Hiura? Would be nice to find out if he's figured it out before the deadline. Not a fan of the bullpen moves either...What does Abner Uribe have to do?
  5. Wonder if we'll see Jones in the lineup tonight...I'd be for it, just to see if the legend can grow.
  6. It's bad enough facing a lefty, but Justin Steele is a guy we've never hit, and he just happens to be the current MLB leader in ERA. We're going to need "good Houser" to show up. Thankfully, most of the Cubs' best hitters are right-handed. And Steele isn't exactly known for his ability to go deep into games. If we're not going to score, we need to drive his pitch count up.
  7. Well, gotta put a run on the board now at least. Would be a frustrating loss.
  8. That was my response to him coming into the game. Not what he’s done this inning.
  9. I’ve been mainly asking for Abner Uribe.
  10. We’ll, at least if we lose this Clayton Andrews can get sent down and maybe we can get Abner Uribe up here.
  11. Dansby Swanson against the Brewers is the greatest hitter of all time I guess.
  12. Because it’s about what you’ll get going forward. I’ll take Winker’s 123 wRC+ over the last two weeks and see if he can keep it up until the deadline. You’ve also got Hiura available in AAA with more upside at this point. Adding Cruz would be making a move just for the sake of making a move.
  13. Well, Winker has a 124 wRC+ over the last 2 weeks FWIW Bottom line is we’re better off trying to resolve things internally until the deadline (Hiura?). Cruz is cooked and offers zero positional versatility.
  14. Never said Woodruff was going to return before then..
  15. Yes he is. The Reds aren’t counting on him until “at least August”.
  16. No. He’s got a 96 OPS+ against LHP. We’re better off waiting for Rowdy to figure things out until the deadline and/or bringing up Hiura.
  17. As many as it takes to get him his 200 wins lol
  18. You don’t know that for sure, though. That’s the point. Particularly with teams being more injured now than they were after spring training.
  19. They’re not aces at this stage in their careers. Lodolo has actually been horrendous this year. Greene has been pretty good. But they’re both still pretty far off from returning…
  20. No it isn’t. Woodruff is one of the very best pitchers in the game….
