  1. Still, he pitched horribly the rest of the year, and if Peralta is healthy and in form during that time that's a huge difference. The bullpen and the offense are more at fault imo. Offense has been way too inconsistent, and the bullpen has taken a step down from what it's been the last few years.
  2. Wins and losses are meaningless and shouldn't be used at all in evaluating pitchers.
  3. Burnes also carried the rotation throughout most of the season when all these guys were injured.
  4. Woodruff was out for a month. That's significant between him and Peralta and enough to alter the landscape of a playoff race when you're having to start a guy like Alexander in turn.
  5. Just nasty changeups from Devin, there. Half-way to a sweep. Let's go Rockies!
  6. OMG Urias. Two abysmal at-bats to end the game
  7. Rowdy is another guy who is ice-cold at the plate.
  8. Gibaut looks like he came straight from the Hamilton County Penal League.
  9. Frelick is the one who'll be the leadoff hitter imo.
  10. Starting to get excited about Mitchell. That speed is a game changer when he can get on base consistently. And the power should follow.
  11. Grichuk just homered to make it 2-1. But who knows how long that will last in that ballpark.
  12. I'm going to be very skeptical of prospects whose bats grade out at 65+ from now on as Hiura's and Urias' were.
  13. Man, there's being efficient with your pitches, and there's whatever Perdomo is doing tonight.
  14. Don't look now, but Mitchell is getting increasingly comfortable at the plate...
  15. Still, as you said, you have to walk a lot more than league average if you're going to carry a K% of 40%.
  16. Nice to see we got the good version of Perdomo and not the one that likes to blow 5 run leads in like 5 seconds.
  17. The thing about Hiura, though, is that he doesn't draw enough walks as he has a career BB% well below 10%. And Gallo has been pretty good on defense throughout his career which helps his overall value. Hiura is barely passable on defense, hence the negative WAR since 2020.
