  1. Woody and Keston have one thing in common. They both share a special affinity for the strikeout.
  2. We sure know how to hit dingers against Greene.
  3. Funny how despite all of our frustrations and wanting to fire Stearns and Counsell, this will still end up being one of the better seasons in Brewers' history. But also really sad. Oh well, better days are ahead!
  4. Look, we all get what you're referring to, but in this case, I think you're making big a deal out of nothing. And I'm pretty sure he has posted "Let's Go Corbin", or something along those lines in the past.
  5. Need the sweep here. Woody can hopefully start us out on a good note.
  6. No way Woodruff for Jansen is close to an even trade on our end. If we're trading Woodruff, arguably a top 10 pitcher in the game with 2 years of control remaining, I'd want Moreno or Kirk. Just look at the Luis Castillo trade to see how much value Woodruff still has. One of our upper level prospects not named Frelick or Chourio and a lower-level player should be more than enough to get Jansen if we're not dealing from the major-league roster. We would be helped by the fact that it will be pretty hard for the Jays to go into next season with those three catchers on their roster.
  7. I'd give up a Mitchell and a Houser for him any day of the week. We may not have any huge holes in our lineup, but we need upgrades and Jansen has a WRC+ of 138, which would easily be tops in our lineup.
  8. Phillies doing their best to keep us in it.
  9. Just out of curiosity, who would you say has been the better pitcher this year between him and Alexander? I know you love all of our minor leaguers but I wonder if Lindblom might have performed better in Alexander's spot start role.
  10. Catcher position has turned out to be one of our weak spots this year with the major second-half slumps from Caratini and Narvaez. I think we should look outside the organization in the offseason. How about snagging one of the Jays' three catchers? Time for Jansen to return home? He's probably the most obtainable...
  11. Wonder if we could get one of Toronto's catchers in the offseason. They have three of them. Time for Danny Jansen to return home?
  12. We need to build better depth in the rotation like last year. Look at the Mets, too. Guys like Trevor Williams and David Peterson aren't even in their rotation anymore, but have been huge stabilizing forces while DeGrom, Scherzer, etc. have been out with injury.
  13. With respect to the bullpen, example #1 of the untapped potential would be Jake Cousins. Guy was dominant for a significant stretch last year and has looked great in his two appearances since returning from injury.
  14. 100 point difference in OPS is pretty significant IMO. His career splits are even bigger.
  15. Let's not have to pitch Bush or Williams, now, and have them fresh for the weekend, when we'll probably need a sweep.
  16. Well, at least we're set at the SS position.
  17. Mitchell seems to be getting more comfortable at the plate now. Encouraging to see, considering how it almost mirrors his adjustment to AAA.
  18. I'm hoping we sign a depth piece for the rotation in the offseason to achieve just that. Maybe we can't count on Small anymore, but good thing we have Gasser, too.
  19. Oooo that would be so good if Alexander didn't have to start on Friday.
  20. Just realized this game is on TBS. Think I'll go listen to our good pal BA now.
  21. Jays tried their best to blow their six run lead against the Phillies. Thankfully, that lead is now back to 5.
  22. This isn't about the game. There's other places for personal discussions. Like DMs.
