  1. Here is my post verbatim from that in-game thread, "You can't say the Cardinals are a good team, and not the Phillies. Most projection sites, including 538, have them winning virtually an identical number of games." Nowhere did I flat-out say the Phillies are better. I said that if one was good, then so was the other. So, quit making up your own facts, and then saying "you're done discussing this" when you've been called out on it.
  2. You have an abnormal habit of claiming that things were said when they weren't and then using that to play the victim card. I said that they were near-equivalent and that if you considered one good, that the other must be good, too. Even now, most of the projection sites have them winning virtually an identical number of games.
  3. .293 XBA, .536 XSLG, 96 percentile in Hard Hit %. I don't know of anyone who said unequivocally that he was back in MVP form. But there's still a good player in there.
  4. They'll still need O'Neill and Carlson to contribute in some form, which they certainly haven't thus far. And none of those guys were can't miss prospects. Only Gorman made a Top 100 list.
  5. I would really like to see Cain hit a home run some day.
  6. .831 OPS, same amount of home runs as last year in almost a quarter of the at-bats. This occurring after his swing changes in the offseason and being our "MVP" of the spring. Seems to me like we've found our DH against RHPs. He's always had the talent...
  7. Good news on the injury front for a change. Also, besides the Goldschmidt HR, which should've never happened in the first place, Woody looked as nasty as he's been all year tonight.
  8. Hiura has also equaled his home run total from last year in almost a quarter of the at-bats. What we are seeing now I believe is a continuation of his hot spring and a byproduct of his swing adjustments, specifically, the reduced leg kick. No reason he shouldn't be DHing instead of McCutchen against RHP now.
  9. Great. Now we get to see Suter face Goldschmidt, Arenado, and Pujols. What could possibly go wrong.
  10. Suter with an ERA over 6 now. Not gonna cut it. At least move him to the very back of the pen.
  11. I'd at the very least call up Turang if Peterson doesn't figure it out soon. Him and Brosseau as your backup infielders would be outstanding.
  12. Looking like one of those nights tonight where nothing goes our way. Why last night was big. At least you figure you'll have the "A" bullpen available for the rest of the series, including Williams.
  13. I will definitely take that news over winning this game, if it is indeed nothing major.
  14. Okay. Ankle is a hell of a lot better than anything arm related. I'm optimistic now.
  15. Even a minimum IL stay would be okay by me. What we can not afford is for him to have a Peralta-like absence. That would send us into SP acquisition mode.
  16. Scratch center field, we may need to acquire a starting pitcher.
  17. Okay. Time to remove Cutch from the cleanup spot. DH Hiura against right handers.
