  1. We won't be seeing Barker, as they just sent him back down to AAA to make room for Alexander.
  2. Good god. Brosseau is at short again. Why is Turang not on this team right now? And better yet, why is Kelley still on it considering he's not very good and he won't even be available to pitch tonight?
  3. If you re-read this thread, you’ll notice I didn’t “jump” on him for his stance on Cain and Mccutchen. Rather, I responded to him after he once again repeated a lie about a post I made on a previous game thread. He has now done this several times on multiple different threads, so obviously i felt the need to set the record straight. Unless you think I should just allow him to keep doing so.
  4. “Constant Cyber stalking” and “fan policing”? You’re out of your mind. You’re the one that keeps lying about what I said one time on a single game thread and then repeating that lie on a bunch of other threads. And it’s not just me that has a problem with your posting record, it’s a lot of people, as @Ron Robinsons Beardabove exchange with you attests.
  5. Time for a good old Kyle Hendricks feasting, followed by a well-deserved short bus trip home.
  6. Would you please just stop with your incessant whining, and quit making up your own facts. This is now multiple times that I've had to rebut this story. Not once in the in-game thread you are referring to did I say that the Phillies were better than St. Louis. I said they were comparable teams on paper and according to most projection sites (though the Cardinals have begun to pull ahead in the last few days) and that, if you considered one to be a good team, then the other should probably be considered a good team as well. All you offered in the way of factual evidence to justify your opinion at that time was "voodoo", which I found to be quite laughable myself. It's also quite humorous how you only ever seem to show up on here during/after a Brewers loss to shout out the same few crazed lines (Cain/McCutchen suck, Brewers aren't good/have played a joke schedule, etc) only to disappear once more when they bounce back with a string of victories. And it's not your difference of opinion that upsets people; rather, it's the manner in which you constantly choose to express that opinion.
  7. Alexander officially named the starting pitcher for tomorrow night's game. @Julio Muchachocare to give us a scouting report?
  8. Alexander has been good in the minors. Sanchez, who has been excellent so far, is also available. Brewers have a real shot to win tomorrow. If we were playing the Dodgers, I might agree with you, but these are the Cubs. And Hendricks has been absolutely brutal lately.
  9. Why do you assume tomorrow is an L? Hendricks has been horrible this year, and we shelled him the last time we faced him. Hader and Williams will also be rested and ready to go after not pitching tonight.
  10. In the end, it's just one game. We are a very injured team right now and have been playing well against some pretty good teams despite that. Onto the next one.
  11. Yep. If Kolten cannot go tomorrow, they need to put him on the IL and bring up Turang. Hiura at 2B will not cut it.
  12. Luis Perdomo would've been perfect in this situation.
  13. Okay. The Trevor Kelley experiment may have run its course. I would have much preferred Miguel Sanchez in this situation.
  14. Will David Ross survive this season? He just doesn't strike me as a good MLB manager.
  15. Wow. Props to Lauer for that K, but he just doesn't have his command tonight.
  16. Careerwise, no. Peterson has a .547 career OPS against LHP. Hiura's is .564.
  17. Sorry Jeff. While I love me some TT, Paul Goldschmidt would be the hottest hitter on the planet right now. He hasn't homered yet, but he did just double to give the Cardinals the lead and extend his hitting streak. Why would I not be surprised if Goldschmidt was the player and the Cardinals the team to break Joe DiMaggio's "unbreakable" 80 year record (mostly joking).
  18. Nope. Cause now we have the bases loaded with less than two outs.
  19. If McCutchen doesn't hit into a DP here, I will consider the at-bat a resounding success.
