  1. If we get to the top of the 10th inning, I don't want Cain doing anything except bunting. Also, with Devin coming in for the 9th, does that mean that Counsell is planning on using Hader for the 10th?
  2. Love Love LOVE what Sanchez has been bringing out of the bullpen recently.
  3. And, combined with his performance on Monday, it somehow didn't result in an option back to AAA.
  4. Wow. Surpassing all of our wildest expectations. I wasn't one of the people calling him Alec Bettinger, but I sure as heck didn't expect this. Well done, sir!
  5. Yeah. Counsell's giving Alexander the "Burnes treatment" just a little too much for my liking....
  6. I would prefer Milner here with 2/3 lefties coming up. But hope Alexander can continue to prove me wrong.
  7. Okay, so this isn't actually true. Maybe I misheard Jeff, but the two Jasons did not go to the same high school.
  8. Very much looking forward to when Willson Contreras gets traded.
  9. If I were the Brewers, I'd look into trading for Kevin Kiermaier from the Rays. Would eliminate any concerns about jettisoning Cain and his "glove".
  10. If Alexander can get through one more inning against what will be the 8-9-1 part of the Cubs order, I will be absolutely ecstatic.
  11. We sure have had quite a few bunt singles against us in the last week and a half or so.
  12. True. I guess I'm mainly looking at what JBJ is doing for the Red Sox currently, which is actually not all that bad at a .4 WAR.
  13. Can't believe I'm longing for JBJ with what Cain is giving us right now.
  14. I believe he wasn't expected to play tonight either, per Sophia during last night's game. Looks like the Phillies series is the new target date.
  15. Agree with all of this. Also, the best start to a season in franchise history. Hoping that Renfroe can be the start of a positive turn for our injured players when I attend on Friday night.
  16. And yet, we're also undefeated so far against the Pirates. The point is that really good teams lose games to bad teams all the time in MLB, and that it doesn't mean all that much in the grand scheme of things.
  17. Like his namesake, this guy's doing a good job of trying to get himself fired.
  18. Dodgers trying to avoid being swept by the Pirates at home tonight. This is in addition to their earlier series loss against them in Pittsburgh. Can you imagine the uproar on here if we had accumulated such results?
