  1. I'm sure that will continue to be the case until a deal is approved through the respective government channels. MLB applying maximum pressure against lawmakers and has the Oakland-LV saga to back up its threats.
  2. Yeah. I'm sure he'll continue to make adjustments going forward. Right now, I'm interested in seeing where he is at the plate and if we can rely on him to do more than pinch run and field in the postseason.
  3. With one year left for each of these guys, the trade returns aren't going to be that much better than the comp picks we'll end up getting for them. Is it really worth forgoing what could easily be another 90+ win season and WS opportunity? And after what Johnson and co. have pulled off the last couple of drafts, why wouldn't we want to give them those picks? If the season goes awry for whatever reason, you can always end up trading them at the deadline, too. Offseason focus should be on extending Woodruff/Chourio and on getting Mark Canha/Josh Donaldson types to fill out the lineup alongside Yelich/Contreras and our younger players. Rhys Hoskins, anyone?
  4. I love Garrett Mitchell, but he's going to have to do something about that 40% K rate or he's going to suffer the same fate as Joey Wiemer and Keston Hiura soon enough. Good news is he's played in less than 45 games in the majors and he struck out only 17% of the time on rehab, but it's definitely something to monitor going forward. Should have a good few games to see where he is at the plate once we clinch.
  5. Yeah. I'd personally like to see Tyler Black get the call and get some at-bats once we clinch.
  6. Obviously not a shock, but Jackson Chourio's season is officially done. Will not be getting the call for the rest of the regular season/postseason.
  7. Then you're crazy. Cubs are going to play three games versus the best team in baseball which is trying to win, while the Brewers are going to play three games versus a bad team throwing bad pitchers and which has almost all of its good hitters out.
  8. Cardinals are missing all of their players and are throwing bad pitchers the entire series. Braves are going to be trying to win. I'll take it whenever you're ready to offer it.
  9. Doubt it gets to then. Even if we lose both games to a Cardinals team missing Arenado and Contreras, the Braves are going to be trying to win.
  10. Not to mention the Cardinals are missing both Contreras and Arenado.
  11. Plus we play the Cardinals, who are bad and pretty much coasting to the finish line.
  12. Keep throwing your "A relievers" in a 6-1 game Marlins.
  13. Probably as it should be. Who wants to celebrate after a game like this.
  14. We haven't lost a game by more than two runs in over a month. Due for this sort of game.
  15. We'll see if the Rockies can hold a 2-1 lead.
  16. Jon Freaking Berti. 4 HRs coming into today.
  17. Probably don't want to run TT in a 4-1 game given his hamstring issues.
  18. Even if we lose this game, I think we can manage to take one from the Cardinals...
