    Maybe, but I doubt it. At least one of the Brewers top two prospects will be an OF, and possibly both.

    My gauge on prospect and star trade value is usually off, but my first thought was Eldridge would be selling low. DH only, long levers, almost no history of prospects with his profile succeeding. Get arms for Freddy..

    I don't think there's any reason to make an MLB ready IF the centerpiece of a Freddy deal. The guys they have now are good enough to hold down the fort until the kids arrive, which might be as soon as 2026. Arms, high upside guys in the low minors, or keep him and take the pick.

    I'm not really interested in dealing Freddy for MLB ready infielders. Just because we have holes on the left side of the IF (depending on how you feel about Durbin) or perhaps 1B doesn't mean we won't as soon as 2027 guys like Wilken, Fischer, and Burke stand to be in the mix. Hell, Made could make opening day if he continues along the Chourio path. We're weak in the OF, and we could use more high upside arms. That's where I'd look in a Freddy deal.

    Haven't watched this yet but having listened to national MLB podcasts over the last month or two there's definitely the sentiment out there that the Brewers really are getting by on luck, smoke, and mirrors. Whether it's the lack of stars (a legitimate talking point this weekend on one of the pods), BABIP, unearned runs, or [take your pick] the overwhelming consensus has been that what the Brewers did all season wouldn't matter much when going up against more talented teams in the playoffs.

    This was the first year I watched a lot of Brewers minor league ball and I really enjoyed every Mudcats broadcast I caught, which was a hell of a lot. Big thanks to the Zebulon crew.

    Didn't get around to voting this month, but no one gave Juan Martinez an honorable mention? The 18 year old switch-hitting SS finished his season at DSL Brewers Gold having slashed .321/.445/.532. 24 SB to 1 CS, more walks (30) to strikeouts (22). Assuming he comes stateside next season, I'll be looking forward to seeing him in Wilson.

    I was guilty of this too, but every publication is sleeping on Kuehner. He deserves to be firmly in the top 15, and probably top ten.

    Can someone explain to me why Baseball Prospectus considers the Brewers to be slightly above mediocre in their formulas? I listened to their latest pod and Craig Goldstein just flat said there wasn't anything the Brewers could do to have him regard the Brewers over the Dodgers (and maybe the Mets). Then they referenced their in-house metrics and yea, the Brewers were mediocre. I can wrap my head around anything, but only to a point. When do you look at results vs metrics and start to question the formula?

    To be honest I'm just naturally skeptical of autograph seekers in general. Little kids trying to get a ball signed by a player they love? Sure, that's great. I have a niece who held up a sign for Frelick and he gave her a ball. But she knows him because she's watched hundreds of games with her dad and she thinks he's cute. What kid is gonna know who a couple 18 year olds on the T-Rats are? Made and Pena are certainly aware by now that the people looking for their autographs are doing it because it might be worth something someday.
