  1. What disguise?
  2. Sure. But I really don't understand why we booed players like Brady Clark. It makes the fans seem ignorant.
  3. I hope I'm not the first brewerfan poster to die of friendly fire on this site.
  4. I'm dying. My eyes are finally opening. This year is no different than any other year except for the better start. In an unrelated topic: is the Capital officially the tallest building in Madison?
  5. How about this team starts going with the best pitchers that it has. That means that Suppan must be held accountable for his lousy performance despite his ridiculous contract. If this team really wants to win they wont let Suppan stay in the rotation any longer. Unfortunately there is no accountability on this team if you have a large contract. While this sounds like a vile rant, I actually agree with you. I don't want to see Suppan starting. I''ve been right 13 of his last 16 starts (and two of the starts I'm not counting he had a 4.50 ERA). He has not had a sub-3.00 ERA in a start since April nor has he had more than one quality start in a month since April. He is lucky his record is 8-9, and I'd rather see Parra or Villy starting over him right now. Suppan's game log
  6. To me, Yost is not as good of a manager as the lovers think he is and he's not as bad as the haters think he is. When people scream about how bad Yost is, what they are really saying is that Melvin is stupid for not firing him. But no one puts it in those terms because they like what Melvin has done for the team and don't want to badmouth him. Would we have 2 more wins without Yost? 5 more? 8 more? 10 more? 5 less? I don't know. Doug Melvin knows what his own goals are for this team and if Ned meets them, he'll stay, and if he doesn't, he'll be gone.
  7. The 24-10 start has absolutely no meaning, it just means we played our best baseball early while a team like the Cubs played thier best in July. There is absolutely no difference between the two. Tell an old Red Sox fan that, and be sure to mention the name Thurman Munson at he end of it. Or an old Cubs fan and be sure to mention Ron Santo and the black cat at the end.
  8. Just reading the topic. Yes.
  9. Ween - "Baby B" Are we really not allowed to use dictionary-based words?
  10. I'm in. Name your price.

  12. Everything being said about Inman are the same things I used to hear about Nick Neugebauer. Haven't we been waiting 15 years to win?
  13. There it is. Graffy time (that doesn't sound right).
  14. I bet Coutlangus heard a few jokes from grade school classmates.
  15. This is where we bring in that young, promising RH outfielder You mean Corey Hart?
  16. Anyone want to bet that Jenkins will bring out the windmill swing?
  17. Thanks Edwin. Time for Billy to signal his return.
  18. Some serious warning track power tonight.
  19. This is one of the worst trades I have ever seen. Bold words considering we traded three guys who have never thrown a major league pitch. I don't know how good Inman will be. I'm surprised everyone on this site does. No surer thing than baseball prospects.
  20. I hear you but the fact that the Padres are also in the playoff hunt is what raises red flags for me But they have Bell, Meredith, and Hoffman. If they could get something by trading someone who is in a position (bullpen) that they are already obscenely stocked at, it makes sense. Turnbow, Cordero, Wise, Shouse. What was the opinion of these guys when Doug got them? I'll trust Doug's opinion of Inman.
  21. What bothers me about Linebrink is that the Padres are right in the middle of the race and they don't seem to think he's worth keeping around. This is the same organization that thought the acquisitions of Marcus Giles, Michael Barrett, Kevin Kouzmanoff, and Russell Branyan (maybe add Milton Bradley) would bolster their offense.
