  1. How the Brewers assign prospects next year will be pretty interesting to watch. Seems like there are a lot of guys at AA, A+ and A that should be starting next year at the next level. Feel like the Sounds next year will be a much more homegrown team than we had this year.
  2. Absolutely clutch especially with Montgomery continuing to play well. Nice to see Chourio and Quero potentially heating up at the plate as well.
  3. Beating the Phillies 2 games in a row with their aces on the mound. That's something you absolutely love to see. This team is just playing really good baseball right now. Nice to see them bounce back from a couple tough days hitting into the wind.
  4. Rather it happen now than a month from now. Hopefully they get it out of their system and are rolling heading into the playoffs.
  5. Insurance run or two would be nice. Could let Peguero finish the game and not use DW then
  6. Don't know why that's not interference on Harper for running partially in fair territory.
  7. Megill pitched really well there. Really just need to tip the cap to Turner there.
  8. Anyone else surprised Turang didn't score on that one?
  9. Seems like national broadcast games have the home plate mic turned up more than the Bally broadcasts typically do.
  10. He has a club option for like $11.5M or something like that.
  11. Very bizarre play in Carolina. Juan Baez just his a "ground rule double" with the bases loaded on a line drive comebacker that bounced so hard off the pitcher that it shot into the Down East dugout. Can't say I have ever seen that before.
  12. Henderson does pick up the 10th strikeout but also gives up 3 singles resulting in earned run. The damage could have been more but Reidy Mercado threw a dart from CF to get the runner trying to go from 1st to 3rd on the third single of the inning. I imagine that will be Henderson's final inning. Great start from him. 6 IP, 4 H (all singles), 1 ER, 0 BB, 10 SO.
  13. Mudcats put another 2 runs on the board in the 4th with a Kay-Lan Nicasia single followed by Reidy Mercado and Gregory Barrios doubles. 7-0 after 4 innings. Henderson retires the side in order in the 5th with 2 strikeouts. His line is now 5 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 SO. The 9 strikeouts has tied a career high and with his pitch count at 67 through 5 innings he should have at least another inning to set a new career high in strikeouts.
  14. Logan Henderson just dominating a very overmatched Down East lineup. 4 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 SO. Mudcats up 5-0 with Jesus Chirinos accounting for 4 of the 5 runs on a 3rd inning grand slam to RF
  15. That's so bizarre especially considering Philly doesn't exactly have a pitchers park.
  16. Also my goodness has Cornielle been much closer to what we expected from him since his brief 20-ish day stint on the IL in June. Before IL stint - 9 G, 41 IP, 5.71 ERA, 4.12 FIP After IL stint - 10 G, 41 IP, 4.17 ERA, 3.64 FIP That after stint includes his 1 game blowup on 8/3 where he went 0.1 IP with 6 ER. If you take that start out, his after numbers become pretty special. 9 G, 40.2 IP, 2.88 ERA, 3.07 FIP
  17. 23 because San Francisco and Arizona both have tie breakers over us.
  18. I'm not really talking BB rate. I'm more talking about how competitive his misses are. Last night the misses were not very competitive.
  19. Just need Rea to avoid the HR ball today. It’s what plagued him in his last few starts before being optioned and Philly is hitting a ton of them lately.
  20. Even though Nashville and Wisconsin likely aren’t going to make the playoffs in the 2nd half, it’s nice to see all 4 full season teams playing above .500 baseball in the 2nd half of the season.
  21. It’s funny because I don’t even think Gasser was close to the best version of himself last night. The command was not great but he still limited hard contact and racked up another quality start.
  22. Where are the 3 auto outs in the lineup?
  23. Please. People would be complaining left and right about his sub .200 BA.
  24. Guilarte draws a BB. Runners on the corners. Luis Castillo up......AND HE RIPS A DOUBLE TO DEEP RIGHT FIELD TO SCORE GUILARTE TO BRING IN BOTH RUNNERS. MUDCATS WIN!
  25. Wood Ducks bless the Mudcats with a passed ball on a cross up to get Chirinos to 3rd. 1 out and 2-0 count. Let's see if the Mudcats can bring a run in from 3rd with less than 2 outs for the first time today on their 5th try.
