    With the Biloxi playoff SP trio’s late-season ascension, suddenly the Crew has some good starting-pitching depth in their upper-minors. Sproat-Crow-Hardin-Kuehner-Letson-Knoth-Thompson-DeBerry-Torres give the team 9 starter arms that have the potential to pitch for the big-club in 2027. A few have a chance to be more than future backend starters. with a few more likely being future bullpen arms, but with the big-club having 6 controlled starters if we include Priester-Harrison and the team likely adding more SP thru trade/FA, imo, the team is in good shape heading into next year SP depth-wise and that buys time for the systems large group of lower-minors arms to develop over the coming years. Imo — the key to this team becoming a dominant force over the next decade like I believe they will is the development of the large volume of arm talent already in the system.

    His previous velo & movement came back 2 outings ago. Yesterday his command took a step-up in the right direction. Of course he should make the playoff roster. His K potential vs hitters on both sides of the plate seperate him from most. We need him.

    If we can’t recognize Yelich for being the consummate team player and leader then whatever. It’s NOT HIS FAULT that injuries have hurt his career performance and it’s a credit to him that he’s risen above it to do whatever he can to help his teammates excel. Just an eloquent talk he gave at the press conference. Tremendous person and deserves recognition for his helping his teammates improve, not being denigrated by some for no good reason. Ridiculous.

    Letson announcing loud and clear tonight he wants to be a factor for the big-club next season.

    I’d add Tate Kuehner to the list with Letson-Thompson & Knoth as possibilities at some point later in the season. Upper-minors SP depth has really taken a step-up the second-half of this season. The key to the team’s SP depth will be how Priester returns from TOS surgery (near 80% come back with same performance with a timeline of 6-9 months), and if the team can iron out Harrison’s issues. If 1 or both can be counted on that improves the depth greatly. They also will need to add from outside the org, imo, either thru trade or FA addition or both. 1. Miz 2. Henderson 3. Gasser 4. FA 5. Trade addition. 6. Harrison 7. Priester 8. Drohan 9. Sproat 10. Crow Upper-minors: 11. Hardin 12. Kuehner 13. Letson 14. Thompson 15. Knoth I’m keeping Patrick in the bullpen, which imo, is a great role for him and one he excels in. Never have enough SP depth, but if the team can nail the right FA addition and trade addition they should be ok until the trade-deadline.

    I’m really liking the late-season pitching of the 3 Biloxi postseason starters. Letson-Thompson-Knoth are finishing the year strong and giving me a lot of confidence we have ourselves a nice group of upper-minors SP heading into next season.

    Both have options so neither need traded. Harrison proved to be ace-like with his pre-injury arm angle. They have all offseason and ST to get that back so he’s not going anywhere. Sproat hasn’t shown anything compared to Harrison, but has the raw stuff to be good if they can refine his mechanics to improve his command.

    Yes the future is bright. What Attanasio & the Brewers FO have built over the last decade in baseball’s smallest-market is nothing short of historic. They have an organizational juggernaut of epic proportions that will give them another decade plus of consistent WS contention and thanks to that extended contention — a likely WS title, and possibly more. Nothing is guaranteed, especially in baseball, but, another decade plus of 10%-15% yearly WS odds should come pretty close to that WS title-winning certainty. Just an incredible time to be a Brewers fan.

    Much needed bullpen option for the big-club next season and who knows, maybe he can pull an Orion Kerkering of 2023, get called-up in September and impact the postseason.

    Thompson with an uneven performance today. Too many baserunners with 5 hits/4 BB’s but limited runs with 2 and did K 7.

    Brewers top pitching prospects pitching well today. Kuehner-Hardin-Morrison all with excellent outings. Hopefully Thompson can join them.

    Great to see Kuehner pitching again — and pitching so well to boot. Are they limiting Sproats innings or converting him to relief?

    I’m with you on a hard cap/floor will be bad for baseball and especially for MKE. Share more revenue among teams, increase penalties for overspending, neuter the Dodgers Japanese & TV RS advantages. Increase the small-market competitive-balance comp picks and international pool $. That should even things up more and not penalize a team like MKE from being smarter than the rest of baseball.

    Coleman Crow with his second scoreless outing in a row. Feel pretty good about him making a spot-start for MKE if needed. Nice starter depth to have stashed at AAA. Nice to have Cameron Wagoner back pitching again. I’d like to see him get a chance to impact the big-league bullpen before the season is over.

    Couldn’t happen to a more deserving franchise and fanbase. God I hate that team.

    Absolutely — just an absurdly deep class of talent. Lots of future big-league players from the names you mentioned and then there’s Manfredi who was just traded to Colorado who could make his BL debut before the end of the year. Just an incredible draft-class.

    This team can use a veteran big-bat that can lead this team for the next few years with all the young, developing talent added recently and on the way. Adding too many inexperienced players, no matter how talented, will likely set the team back for a bit. If I’m the team I’m trying to extend him with a 3 year offer and if I’m not able to get that done then offer the QO.

    Age-regression is a real thing. Almost their entire lineup is 31+ and one of the 2 that aren’t over 31, Kyle Tucker moves like an old man. The lineup is slumping over the last month plus so it looks worse than it probably is, but if they win another WS this year it’ll likely be because of their SP being healthy entering the postseason.

    Tate Keuhner’s back! 2 unearned runs with 5 K. 60+ pitches, 92-94, so hopefully the velo ticks up as he builds back his arm-strength. Just nice to have him back pitching again.

    SSS with the lower K-rate but encouraging nonetheless. Extraordinary athlete & talent, and with the power he’s showing, especially to the opposite-field, we could have ourselves another special player moving-forward. 30th ranked Brewers prospect far too low. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s near the top 10 after the season’s complete.

    And with Misiorowski’s dominance, I’m making it the best 1-4 in Brewers history, but I also could just be more bullish on Dustin May than some. Was hoping for his acquisition above the Skubal one due to value and prospect-cost. To me, he give the Brewers another potential Frontline starter just like other 3, with just a little more consistency, and we have Hook & co as our secret weapon to help him with that. Priority is getting all 4 rested and healthy entering the postseason. The team seems to recognize that above all else with the minimum of 5 rest days between starts and possibly skipping select starts for some or most of our starters moving-forward.

    Hoping to see 2 starters acquired today, 1 rental & 1 controlled. I don’t think the team can count on Crow for starter depth due to durability and possible innings restrictions and imo, are devoid of real starter options in the uppers and thus need multiple starters added. I really like the 6 options you listed, any of which would solve the biggest need this team has — protecting the health of their young starters and getting them to the postseason rested. I like Rogers for a rental. He has the most upside for this season and loved how he shutdown the Dodgers lineup when Baltimore visited Chavez Ravine earlier this year. Either of Phillips or Feltner works for me as a controllable. Probably go with the lower cost option.

    Can’t be impatient. Need to trust the process. Slow and steady wins the race. When a franchise can’t buy talent, they have to develop it. This should be easy for all of us to understand as Brewers fans. No shortcuts. Keep accumulating prospect talent. Continue to develop the talent and eventually there will come a point where the big-league roster is talented enough with organizational talent that is deep enough that the team can “go for it” at the trade-deadline if it makes sense to do so — that time is not now. Fortunately, we are getting closer to that time thanks to the talent of our FO and infrastructure.
