Oh it would no doubt be our splash off season move. But when you step back and look at it, it “could” make sense. We need an infielder with power to replace Adames. Semien is coming off a 4.0 war season and has power.
I believe we can make the salary work where they wouldn’t have to eat it but it would cost them prospect capital that may be doable for them. Here is my proposal:
Semien, Leiter, Foscue for Milner, Bryce Wilson, Bauer.
Rangers save money galore and get two pretty solid bullpen arms and a bench bat/platoon guy.
Brewers solve their infield equation with a middle of the order bat and get a high end pitching prospect (Leiter) and a versatile chess piece for Murphy to utilize (Foscue)
