  1. Just came here to note the same. I think I saw the Dodgers spent 600k on a UDFA (maybe it was ~400k, not totally sure, but a large sum) so very possible
  2. Honestly, regardless of cash, if you'd told me they got Roupe, Bentley and Holden from that class, we'd have been stoked. Then add Rylan Mills in there, and CJ Hughes, there's a lot of talent.
  3. How are they doing this for such low value... This hasn't got the way the draft experts expected at all. Each of Roupe, Bentley and Holden were meant to be really difficult signs, never mind the value they've gotten for Holden and Roupe. Lauridsen to come?
  4. They can announce even after the deadline, as long as everything is signed by then. Most of its likely sorted, just not public knowledge yet
  5. I do think this is highly unlikely, the Brewers have shown a preference for multiple talented players over one pricier, if higher upside, talented player Still, its maybe on the table
  6. I wonder if there's an outside chance the Brewers go really hard at Bentley or Holden now. We've all been writing them off as tough signs, but there's a war chest there for the Brewers to use that just may get it done for one of them?
  7. Dude... If I ever need someone found, I'm coming to you. Eye of a hawk
  8. Damn.. Guessing Lauridsen is the pivot from here
  9. Payne replaced by Jose Anderson as a pinch runner during a double steal with Peña
  10. Nolan is correct! This may explain (if they had an inkling) why Roupe signed so early on, but the bonuses could certainly be larger than expected. Theoretically, there could be enough there to sign six players to $500k deals, though early estimations are it'll be slightly more than that Very very impressive stuff from the Brewers, particularly with their HS picks in rounds 1-10
  11. I'd never use Savant as the only justification for these things but it does present a pretty reasoned idea of Cruz's strengths. he whiffs a lot, but crushes the ball and has actually graded out fairly well per outs above average in center field, likely because of the ridiculous raw speed
  12. Good news: Over the last month, Oliver Dunn has a .915 OPS. Bad News: He is also still striking out ~ 35% of the time, for those who want Also @Joseph Zarrand anyone who may question the name, we are a site who love Joel Payamps and his name may no longer be besmirched, no matter how many pitches he hangs. All that matters is his K-BB%
  13. That was part of my view too. He's had lapses in the field, but I don't think its effort related as we see other occasions where his grind isn't in question He seems like he's not far off a breakout, and his breakout is a ridiculous caliber of player. The Brewers clubhouse, and Pat Murphy, are probably the best organisation in baseball to help him make that final step With those years of control, I think Mitchell & Pratt are a fair starting point.
  14. All good, I appreciate these things being pointed out: Updated as below, the Brewers have currently saved $1,238,100 of their slot values which, including the 5% overage allowance ($656,905) and depending on the signing value of Vucinovich, could allow them to have over $2m in deployable bonus pool money for their late round selections on top of the signing of Rylan Mills That's a considerable war chest, and it will be fascinating to see how much they can spread that out It would allow them to sign four further players to around 4th round money
  15. Apologies, working off two different versions form my home and work laptops, trying to keep both in line. I'll get all the tidbits ironed out tomorrow, but Brock is still an OU commit (given it's from his own Instagram, I'd take it for real) Ragsdale has indeed signed and the amount is confirmed for $237,500
  16. Current remaining balance after Mills signing is $1238,200 I did not expect savings from Cairone or the lower over slot for Flores
  17. Oneil Cruz is one of the most talented players in Major League Baseball, but it's talent the Pittsburgh Pirates have failed to fully unlock. Boasting the hardest tracked batted ball, coincidentally against the Brewers, Cruz's power is undeniable, but could the Brewers provide a tempting package? Under control through 2028, Cruz fits the bill for the Brewers in providing both power and shortstop cover. At times maligned for his effort, perhaps a change of scenery, and especially a taste of the Brewers ethos, could help him take the next step. The package required would be a big one, but it could center around Garrett Mitchell as an outfield replacement, and Cooper Pratt as a shortstop and build from there. Would you like to see Oneil Cruz in Brewers uniform? What would you be willing to part with for perhaps the most singularly destructive bat in baseball? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!

  21. Certainly an experience for the ACL kids to face a couple of innings from Hunter Greene on a rehab assignment
  22. I'll not ask what this fantasy involves 👀
  23. I know that was foul from Bitonti, but dear god. When he leans back on one, that thing just carroms out of there
