    As far as I'm concerned, everyone except Braun and Gallardo should be available to trade. That isn't said out of anger...just reality that this team will have some holes to fill, especially if Fielder does leave. If you can get really good returns for guys like Weeks or Hart, you have to look at it.

    This was a pretty embarrassing moment for the team that I hope is never brought up again. It would have been one thing to do this towards the end of the season, but during an elimination playoff game? Pretty bush league, like the Truth said above.

    It didn't bother me, but I hope they come up with something else for next season.

    No it really isn't. Starting Kotsay in CF cost us having at least a game 7 with Yo starting. I agree starting him in center field was dumb, but I still don't buy that it cost us the series.

    Blaming Roenicke is very short sighted. Braun and Fielder essentially were nonfactors in this series are our starting pitching was terrible. Blaming the manager is just knee jerk.

    To be fair, Greinke wasn't missing too many bats last night either, and he has way better "stuff" than Marcum.

    Yeah, pretty funny episode overall. The cool thing was that even though Dwight ended up looking ridiculous doing all the stuff in Jim's book, it ended up being a good party for the characters.

    It was amazing how three of our infielders managed to execute Bill Buckner-esque plays, and pretty much all in key moments..

    As much as you can blame the terrible defense for last night's depressing loss, the Brewers probably weren't going to win putting up just one run anyway.

    Yeah, hopefully Wolf or Narveson will be waiting in the wings to step in if he struggles early.

    My point was that most of these Cardinals fans that do the bragging were probably still in diapers when the team won their last championship before 2006.

    Yeah, this bugs the crap out of me. I was born in this state, and am a huge Packers fan. I don't go around bragging about all their championships, though. It's not like I fondly recall memories of Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr. Cardinals fans (especially younger ones) do this all the time, though, as if most of them really remember Bob Gibson and Stan Musial personally.

    Well, he flubbed an easy grounder last night, and seems slow on the basepaths. I think his ankle might still be bothering him a bit.

    Yeah, the fact that McGehee hasn't gotten a single post-season start really has helped my opinion of Roenicke.

    I agree. He showed a better approach last night, and absolutely scorched a liner later in the game (just right at the right fielder). I wouldn't bench him except in late innings for defense.

    He looks like one too. I think Brutus Beefcake cut this guy's hair in 1989.

    Agreed. Wolf doesn't have to pitch stellar, he just has to pitch good enough to give our hitters a chance to win the game.

    Yes, starting Kotsay in CF was stupid, but it didn't cost us the game. We were down 4-3 for quite a few innings, and the offense didn't capitalize at all. They let Carpenter off the hook multiple times. Guys like Weeks and Hart need to step up if we're going to have a fighting chance. All these big fly outs aren't going to cut it, either.

    She seems like a nice person and a genuine Brewers fan. If she's getting some extra attention right now, what's the big deal?

    The last car I bought was used. These days you can just go on autotrader.com and poke around until you find something that's a good deal.
