  1. I only really started to hate Soup last season, when Macha put him in the rotation when Narveson was clearly better at that point. That wasn't really Suppan's fault though.
  2. Sounding like tonight's game might be in jeopardy due to rain. Any updates from those down there?
  3. Yeah, I agree. The amount of hand wringing after one loss is, quite frankly, rather ridiculous. Going back through the IGT, I hate to say it, but I think some posters were almost trolling with their negative comments. If we had also lost the first game of the series, would people be participating in ritualistic suicides today? You would think so, judging by the reactions of some "fans".
  4. When is it just bad pitching? Marcum is pitching like crap. He's hanging everything up, his changeup has no movement on it, and his fastball is straight as a string. I know there's some that want to basically say everything is bad luck, but Marcum's been awful since the beginning of September, and it's not all attributable to bloop singles and happenstance bad pitches when there just happens to be 2 or 3 guys on base.I agree. Marcum just hasn't been good lately. The defense let him down a couple times last night, but it's hard to blame the defense for a total blowout loss like we had last night. I was at the game last night. You are right that Marcum was leaving pitches up. With his non-fireball stuff, that's a recipe to get lit up. I would skip Marcum and give Narveson a chance.
  5. Oh crud, did they already play the next three games last night? I must have slept through it.Seriously, this was just one loss folks. The series is tied. The Brewers still have a chance. I was at the game last night, and yes, it stunk. Still no reason to throw in the towels.
  6. Sounds like this is no big deal, fortunately.
  7. He was quoting somebody. Of course we have already heard Uecker is kind of a jerk to fans other times. I have no idea if that is true. Not to derail this very amusing thread, but I would say it is more that Uke isn't interested in making small talk at this point. When I met him at the On Deck event in January, he was polite, bit it was obvious he didn't wish to chit chat.
  8. That's how I feel. I really doubt there's any way the Yankees let him leave now.
  9. And for the record, I hope Prince doesn't resign because I don't think he would be worth the money (over the long-haul) it would take. Seeing how some of the big contracts for teams just eliminated from the playoffs are starting to look, I can't imagine how disastrous some stupid $120+ million contract for the Brewers would be. The market might actually reflect this in the off-season, too.
  10. Brewers in six games, and I base that on nothing in particular but a gut feeling.
  11. Yeah, his defense definitely played a huge roll in keeping the Crew in the game. Good thing he gets a day off today.
  12. Yeah, I've posted about the "vacation" people before. They must pay the Brewers to be there, because they sure are annoying.
  13. I thought it was a decent episode. Most of the bits in the warehouse were fairly stupid, but the interactions between Andy and Daryl were pretty good, especially when Andy called him out on not pushing himself.
  14. Cardinals fans don't believe baseball should be "fun."
  15. They play in a pretty nice stadium which the Brewers have seemed to do well in lately.
  16. I wonder how Darron Sutton is doing tonight.
  17. Orel Hershiser is a genius.
  18. Go Cards! Home field FTW.
  19. I'll eat crow and say Yuni delivered the goods tonight.
  20. Yes, it has jumped the shark, and right into the NLCS!
  21. sounds like a pretty good day. congrats bud. Thanks man. Born Tuesday. Heading home tomorrow, in time to watch the NLCS from home.

  23. Never thought I would be celebrating a playoff win with a baby in a hospital, but here I am.
