Sorry, but Hundley just does not have the instincts to be an NFL quarterback.

If there was ever a war on Christmas, Christmas won, hands down.
  3. Invader3K
My only hope at this point is that he doesn't get re-injured in the next three games.

I'd be all for it, especially if Stearns doesn't have to give up a lot in return.

Assuming agreement by the Phoenix city council. Sounds like the Brewers will be making the bulk of the investment, which will upgrade the current facility. Adam McCalvy has the details on Twitter.

Great move. Seems like a safe bet that he will continue to perform relatively close to how he did this season.

http://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/2017/10/24/sporting-news-names-brewers-craig-counsell-nls-manager-year-2017/795943001/ Nice recognition for Counsell and the Brewers.

I'm assuming you meant two "recent" playoff (not WS) appearances. Unless you were talking in their entire history, but even then, they have been in a lot more than than 2 WS. Yes, you're right. I meant "two NLCS appearances".

Two World Series appearances, one championship...I wish the Brewers were so "flawed." I sometimes seriously wonder if I'll ever live to see the Brewers win a World Series. I'm in my late 30's.

Awesome to see the Yankees shut out last night. Astros vs Dodgers should be a good World Series matchup.
  11. Invader3K
Dodgers were the better team, simply put. The Cubs had their World Series Championship. They can go another 99 years without winning one, for all I care.

re: Montreal, don't forget that a couple years ago there were a couple exhibition games played there, and they drew huge crowds. The people in Montreal will support a team again, if given the chance and assuming they can build a modern stadium.

I like the plan a lot. Really, the AL and NL are relics of a bygone era. They aren't really needed anymore. I love the idea of emphasizing the regional rivalries with the restructured divisions. Montreal absolutely deserves the chance to have a team again. Washington lost a team (twice), but it seems like the Nationals are doing OK there right now. Portland also makes a ton of sense.

Yeah, Capellan was a definite disappointment. I also recall him having some attitude issues during his time here.

Agree completely. I tend to err on the side of safety. I realize you can't protect everyone from everything, but in this era where pitchers are throwing 100 mph fastballs getting hit by guys who are bigger and stronger than in previous eras...I think extra netting is probably a good idea.
  16. Invader3K
I was just thinking about him the other day. IIRC, he had a pretty hot fastball as well.

"Buy a goat." Not that crazy an idea: http://www.dailyunion.com/news/jefferson/article_0d06a9a2-bb40-5748-aeda-8b9056835332.html

I have used Family Tree Maker in the past, and it's a good program, but not sure it has the capability of doing something like you are describing.
  19. Invader3K
Anything new on this? Feel so bad for his family.
  20. Invader3K
Just remember, everyone, almost all of us figured back on Opening Day that this month of September would be completely meaningless. Yet here we are, checking scores and hanging on by the seats of our pants. The future is bright for this team.
  21. Invader3K
    Another 10 inning game forthcoming?
  22. Invader3K
Could be. Then again I could have a secret double life as a sleep walking cat burglar that I'm unaware of.
  23. Invader3K
There are some things that are probably worth paying someone to do professionally, and a fence is probably one of them.
  24. Invader3K
Tough break. It was a good pitch.
  25. Invader3K
Braun's out earlier was frustrating, but what can you do? Anyway, game is still tied. This is one to win, guys!
