  1. I didn't watch the show, but I'm wondering why the crowd went so anti-Roman Reigns? I was under the impression he was popular right now, but maybe not quite as much as Daniel Bryan? Maybe I'm wrong and Reigns isn't well liked by the WWE crowd right now? Just curious.
  2. Not sure if that's Hank or some random furry that happens to be a baseball fan. Kinda hoping it's a furry because that wouldn't be as dumb. Hate to tell you, but I'm pretty sure that is the official Hank mascot. Not sure why they need that along with the real Hank (who apparently got huge lines of fans today), but there you go.
  3. That's what I try to do whenever possible as well.
  4. Let's use this thread to post any news, feedback, etc. from today's On Deck fan event. First up, here's the Brewers newest mascot, since they didn't have enough quite yet:
  5. OK, that makes more sense. I agree I wouldn't want K-Rod slotted into the closer role. Broxton makes more sense at this point. I wish there wouldn't be any designated "closer role", or "setup man", but that isn't going to happen under the current regime.
  6. Again, I don't get the hate. He has been very reliable for us the past several seasons. I can get the home run rate being a concern, though. Sounding more and more like the Papelbon trade is off. Haudricourt just tweeted a comment from Melvin that said, "Whatever traction there was seems to have dissipated." Melvin might just be playing it cool, but for some reason I get the sense that the salary is too big an obstacle right now.
  7. The funny thing is that if this happens, it will finally fulfill a popular trade idea on this forum from about 10 years ago. I wonder what Kelly Shoppach is up to these days?
  8. There's talk on Twitter that the Brewers would have to guarantee his 2016 option. I think the Phillies would have to kick in some money to make this work if that is true.
  9. Hamilton was great with Block. I wish he'd be named as Uecker's permanent replacement once Uke is done someday. Reserving judgment on the new guy until I read more on him.
  10. Wouldn't doubt that Brewers have given him a standing offer around $4.5 to $5 million. I really wouldn't complain about that signing if it happens. He's been pretty effective for us the past several seasons.
  11. I don't hold out hope we could trade for Zimmerman and then extend him. I don't buy he'd sign here just because he's from Wisconsin, without testing the free agency market first. We should all know by now the Brewers aren't a team that gets those kinds of "discounts", after seeing Fielder, Greinke, etc. walk in the past few seasons.
  12. This deal is still only rumored at this point. Until it's official, it should be in the Transaction Rumors forum.
  13. After what has transpired in the last hour, we may need it to be Mark A. to keep mass suicides in Wisconsin from happening. Yes, this times 1000. Seriously though, I have no idea if this is realistic.
  14. That's what a lot of people seem to be forgetting. League average type starting pitching has gotten to be worth $10-15 million per year. This is 2015, not 2005. The Brewers aren't broke or a bottom barrel team, either.
  15. Yup. I will even admit to people that weight loss is roughly 75% diet and 25% exercise, and this comes from someone who has been in the fitness business for eight years.
  16. Brewers announced this yesterday. To clairfy, it's 20% more than this same point last year. As hawing pointed out on Twitter last night, it's probably due to many people rolling their 2014 post-season ticket deposits into a season ticket plan. Still, it's good news for the Brewers from a business perspective. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brewers/brewers-season-ticket-sales-up-20-from-last-year-b99426498z1-288773261.html
  17. Thanos, because I was big into Marvel comics as a kid. I went to this one after being made a mod here.
  18. I'm not exactly nostalgic for the "Motre Bame" logo, but I wouldn't mind getting a t-shirt with one. I like the Gorman one and the one with the different "icons" on it as well.
  19. Article about Molitor and his philosophy he says he will have as a manager: http://bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/lacrossetribune.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/1/ca/1cab4942-7c65-529a-acdd-f60873a97eb3/54b73751bc0c7.image.jpg?resize=620%2C497
  20. Yes, but they are a worldwide company. I'm guessing it's their Japanese division that put these out.
  21. Fortunately those things are relatively easy to add during Spring Training.
  22. Game05, sorry the job didn't work out. Not sure of specific advice, but planning on a career making around 30k a year doesn't sound like a great option.
