Disappointing to see Braun out of the lineup already. If he can't play again tomorrow, I hope they just put him on the DL and let him heal up properly. Ryan Braun missing the first two weeks of the season won't make or break this team. Time to get some runs going and get a win. Hopefully Garza can at least pitch competently.

I really can't get the pulse of this team yet. I said it at our Winter Meetings gathering, but I feel this team is either going to be really good or really terrible, but I'm not sure which way they'll go yet. It's so hard to gauge them after last season weirdness. Let's just all remember they've only played one single game and it's not exactly time to panic yet. -

He stopped coming when his son was traded (or DFAed, I can't be bothered to remember) from the organization. He ended his tenure here with some epically idiotic behavior and was banned. I hold the personal distinction of making a post that got the final thread about his son locked up.

I guess I'm kind of glad I was prevented from going today. Rough start to the season for sure. I read it was the worst Brewers Opening Day loss since 1973. Go get 'em tomorrow.

My Opening Day: I had to make a court appearance related to a former employee (I can't go into details, but I can say I'm not in any sort of trouble). Anyway, there was a case going on before the scheduled hearing I was there for, and I saw a man get convicted of his 5th OWI offense and sentenced to prison. It wasn't an experience I really relished being part of, and it was surreal seeing someone about 20 feet away being put into handcuffs and taken away. Kind of like being in a movie I wanted no part of.

Are you talking about the new "MLB Central" show on MLB Network? That show covers the whole league, not just the NL (or AL) central division.

Hip-hip-hooray, it's Opening Day! Two teams played last night, but no one cares about that...today the Brewers are back at Miller Park, and all is right with the world. Personally, I will not be there today due to a real life obligation getting in the way, but let's use this thread for people to post about Opening Day. Also, if you're going to Miller Park today, have fun but be safe.

As reillymcshane said, if you go to a day game (especially in middle of summer), try to get seats on the first base side rather than the third base side. The sun can really burn you on a hot day if you're on the third base side. Other than that, there are very few bad seats in Miller Park. I will say that while some people like sitting in the right field bleachers, I'm not a big fan. Just harder to watch the game from that view...but that's my opinion.

Cool stuff. I'm hoping to get back to Spring Training again someday. The wife and I went back in 2010 and had a great time. She got Corey Hart's autograph, which was a highlight.

Supposedly the team's equipment trucks drove up from Arizona after spring training, and had to wait in Nevada to find out if they were going back to Seattle or on to Milwaukee. -
Agreed. I enjoyed many games that weren't exactly great Brewers outings, just chatting away with others in the chat room. Unfortunately, the rise of Twitter has sort of killed off the need for the chat room.

If the Brewers were leaving, I would cheer them until they left, and then I'd probably adopt the White Sox as my "local" team. I don't think I'd be able to follow the Brewers anymore. -

Any of you ever been to the Swingin' Door Exchange in downtown Milwaukee? The wife and I had dinner there a couple weeks back, before the Gaslight Anthem concert, and the food was surprisingly good. Very old school kind of bar, but very pleasant atmosphere. Prices were very reasonable. Good cocktails, too.

I hope not. The other channels we don't get ask me if I want to upgrade when I go to them but MLB Network doesn't. If I call and make a big enough scene will they just give it to me for free? I would just call and see what's up. I am still getting it fine, so maybe it's just possibly an issue with your cable box? They should be able to diagnose it over the phone for you.
