  1. "Ball lined to Yount at short..." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/2005/06/21/400.flirting/carew.jpg
  2. Yeah...I remember reading in my old 1988 Brewers Yearbook (Molitor hologram on the cover!) about Bucks fans going crazy down at MECCA during Juan Nieves' no-hitter in '87.
  3. Wells street is a good option too...it's only one block north of Wisconsin and usually doesn't fill up as fast...I parked there and walked in all the time when I was a vendor.
  4. "True love is something that's hard to find. Sometimes you think you've found true love and then you catch the early flight back from San Diego..." My only advice is to keep it short. My best man is a dear, dear friend, but I think he had one too many glasses of champagne in the limo and ended up rambling for about 10 minutes. It wasn't bad; he didn't say anything that was dumb or embarassing, on the contrary, it was very nice. But 10 minutes is just too long...he's been taking good-natured crap from everyone that was there ever since.
  5. My wife and I love frozen pizza. Growing up, my family always had Tombstone...so that's what we get most of the time now. Sometime we'll get Jacks...it's not as good but it's still pizza (and usually cheap).
  6. Wisconsin Lutheran College '00-'05 with the odd combination of Secondary Education, Communications, and Theology. It worked out alright though...I teach computer classes and theology classes at a local high school.
  7. Mooooooooose! http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com/nl/milbrewers/Haas.jpg
  8. WOW, strike one to Chris Young was a gift. EDIT: Phew!
  9. Shouse versus a righty...strap yourself in...
  10. Prince flashing the leather this inning!
  11. My buddy, who is a Cubs fan (yeah, I know, the company I keep http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif ) just called and said, "We just made a trade with Billy Beane - we're screwed."
  12. Wow! Seriously, when the time comes, pay this guy whatever he wants. He's a stud.
  13. Very true...I'm not rooting for a career ending injury. How's this....I'm just not plain rooting at all. Put me down for "apathetic."
  14. So when Spurling comes back (which I'm assuming will be before Sheets) who gets sent back down? Parra or Balfour? Also, darn. We do not need injuries ever, but especially now with the Cubs being hot. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

  16. Are these posts supposed to be in blue? Sorry, I'm rooting against Barry.
  17. I saw Owings pitch against Tampa Bay when I was in Phoenix last month...he had a habit of working into jams, then striking a lot of people out to get out of them. Hopefully we make him pay tonight.
  18. Best wishes to Spurling and his family...whatever it is, I hope it works out fine. Good luck to Manny! (If you get the chance.) I've been excited about him for awhile now and am really looking forward to seeing him in a Brewers uniform.
  19. I guess I will third the "Don't drink your calories" approach. A couple years ago I was on some medication that required me to not drink alcohol for 6 months. I didn't change my eating habits during that time and since I was student teaching it was hard to really get any exercise, but I still lost weight just from abstaining from alcohol (especially beer).
  20. Interesting...wasn't Mase the one who called Larry Harris "a snake" on his way out of town? I always did like him as a player though, and he seemed like he was a very good "community guy" on top of it too.
  21. I stayed at the Shamrock a couple of times...it didn't seem too bad, but like someone else said, that was a long time ago. I don't know what time of the week you'll be there, but if possible, I recommend going on a Sunday. My wife and I went yesterday and it really was not crowded at all. There were virtually no lines at all on a lot of the rides (Black Thunder, Point of No Return especially) and manageable lines on the more popular rides like Black Anaconda and Time Warp. Plus, the Noah's Ark website has a $5 off coupon for Sundays too. Just Click on "Promotions"
  22. Thank you for this thread...I don't have a lot of time to post here, but I do read the boards when I can. Thank you for reminding me why I love this place.
  23. Ass is one of those words I can say on here, right? That's what I think of Ronnie freaking Belliard. And Ned Yost.
  24. Thanks for swinging at ball four, Church.
  25. Good heavens. I hate watching this team lately.
