Hitting and running with a strikeout-prone batter and 2 of the slowest runners on your team might be the dumbest thing I've seen in a long time.

Do they still use that music? I haven't seen TWIB in a number of years...I thought someone told me they had changed it. That is a really great song though...that song and the old CBS postseason baseball theme (from like the early 90s) are my favorite "baseball tunes."

It was Donaghy who blew the super super late whistle...there's a video montage of the bad calls in that playoff game on YouTube. Also a post/link to it at Deadspin.

    Balfour....Australian for SUCK!

My postgame music is brought to you by Janis Joplin...Take Another Little Piece of my Heart. I think it sums up some of the losses this team has absorbed this year.

I never ever ever ever want to see Balfour pitch for us again.

How did Hart not beat that out?

Does Griffey always do the little skip-hop to make the catch look more difficult, or just tonight?

Maybe Stanton can balk in the winning run.

    Niiice. Good work, Matty/Shouse.

Where was Hart playing, the warning track?

As a wise man six posts above me once said, "Estrada = Nada!"
  14. Mike Felder
Did that seriously just happen? I hate this team sometimes.

Go with Estrada. If Ned's going to insist on batting him 5th, we could sure use a hot streak from him.

I want all three, but after last year's KC series, I would never say such a thing out loud. Oops....

Can't see the number here, but he was a #28 too. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/pics/doug_henry_autograph.jpg

I don't really have anything to add here, other than to say that in my last 3 years of baseball video game playing, I've traded for Miguel Cabrera with my Brewers franchise. Usually, it does not take much more than a couple good prospects to get him....sadly, I don't think the real Marlins will be that dumb. I think we'd have to give up major league players (Gallardo, for one) to land Cabrera. It's too bad...I'd really like to have him here.

Well, at least Cappy threw a good game. 99 pitches and two runs in seven innings is a fine outing. I thought the first run should have been unearned too...I'm shocked they didn't give Mench an error on that. I thought a lot of our batters let a TON of hittable pitches go by tonight. And not just strikes, but right-in-the-wheelhouse strikes. It almost looked like our strategy was to sit there and hope that Sharpie walked us. That's what it looked like from section 234 anyway. Maybe I'm way off...did anyone else notice this?

Camden Yards is amazing...get there early take in Eutaw Street and the whole atmosphere. I was there back in '02....we hit up the Baltimore Aquarium (just a few blocks from Camden), which was pretty cool if you're into that sort of thing.

Thank you. In my mind, Yi has the biggest "bust potential" of anyone in the draft this year. I was rooting against them taking Yi even before all the rumors about him not playing in Milwaukee surfaced...I just don't think he'll be that good.

parkside, what do you think of it so far? I've heard the game is amazing on the XBox 360 but very disappointing for the PS2. As a fellow PS2 owner, I was hoping that's not the case.

Getting an early start on this one! I'll be there, section 234, wearing my Capuano jersey. And hopefully getting there for free Carmex too!

Woo! Way to go Villanueva! I caught the last two innings at Leff's...quite the atmosphere there. I was sad to leave the chat but hopefully the closer italics (and 9th inning Rick Rolling!) made a return appearance. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif It's nice to actually pad our lead for once. Hopefully it's the start of a trend.
