  1. That’s why I only really would consider him since he plays corner outfield as well. Otherwise I really only see trading for a super sub type guy like Castro. And of course assuming the Suarez bidding gets out of hand.
  2. Don’t forget international signings are always position heavy, and the Brewers have over 7 million to sign there.
  3. His walk rate is brutal. His stuff can play but probably as a lefty out of the pen. I think his slider in particular is wild if I remember correctly.
  4. My point was they valued Jay being on the 40 over him. I didn’t say it was down to only Jay or Smith. Edit: That sounds a little snarky. Just mean I agree with you and above is what I meant.
  5. The real bummer of it was having Jay on the 40 man instead of giving his spot to protect Shane Smith.
  6. Sounds like Ebel also has an arm and could also eventually end up as a corner outfielder as well if needed.
  7. My perspective is prospect clutch until a guy is truly blocked in AAA by an MLB player, because odds are they aren’t going to make it anyway. So don’t worry about where your prospect lay, especially those below AA.
  8. Don’t understand this lineup with the break coming, but whatever maybe the backups will bring the energy today.
  9. He was never as bad as people were portraying him as. He’s been a slightly below average first baseman in his career yes, but still a legit MLB player. He was just getting expensive in arbitration and had a terrible start on a terrible team this year.
  10. Considering he's been above that for every year of his career until a really bad start with the White Sox this year, I think it would be a much lower percentile outcome if that is all we are looking for.
  11. Giving Murphy a high five while he was holding his hand up for a possible challenge was hilarious.
  12. Dalbec isn’t on the 40 man. And yeah his strikeout percentage is brutal so he’s probably your quintessential AAAA player.
  13. They still needed a 25 man spot and with Cameron not having any options, DFA isn't too surprising. Especially since no way he was going to stay once Perkins is ready so it is just coming a little early.
  14. Well done on battling through it but man his command was ugly. Hopefully can get locked in now.
  15. MLB Pipeline is bad. Anyway Eric had him as the Brewers 11 last year but dropped him from a 40+ to a 40 prospect, mainly due to his power and defense not looking as favorable. His review of him is harsher than the Milwaukee review last year so I don’t understand the Red Sox bias comment. Projecting a guy as a most likely a reserve outfielder isn’t optimistic.
  16. International players are also more likely to be interested in early extensions since not much of their signing bonus actually goes to the player.
  17. He will be non tendered next year barring some insane run, but maybe each party will like each other enough that he will be retained as a depth signing.
  18. There’s not really a difference in difficulty level these days between AA and AAA so I don’t think that’s really something you need to test with before making your 40 man decision.
  19. Priester being a viable back end pitcher makes it a good trade! People are vastly overrating what the Brewers gave up.
  20. You don't need to catch the Cubs or win the division when there's 3 wildcards. It's pretty hard to not be in playoff contention unless you are flat out bad these days.
