  1. Sanchez comes to mind also.
  2. I did not say replace them, I said relieve some of the workload which to me is supplementing them. Big difference and a SP that is maybe capable of middle inning relief if needed that can pitch more than 3 innings if going well would be great.
  3. But if Miz and Harrison are having arm issues wouldn't you want to persue another decent starting pitcher to relieve some of the workload? I expect a starting pitcher at the deadline.
  4. I see even the Pirates interested in Miller, well it's a no brainer to me to pursue Skubal instead. Personally I think Skubal if no arm issues is every bit as valuable plus we could get double the innings pitched.
  5. The Media is always wrong so I would take Mason Miller hands down over what we would have to give up for Terik Skubal.

  7. "Murphy often talks about a player being "the right person," by which he means that they fit into the clubhouse and augment the team dynamic via their work habits, attitude and interpersonal skills, as well as their talent." "I think that is part of the Brewers secret sauce" because big egos, selfishness and problem makers erode team chemistry and they get shipped off or sent down quick. I still remember Aaron Civale complaining that he wasn't pitching enough and he was gone in 24 hours.
  8. Top Left-Handed Relief Trade Candidates A.J. Minter (Mets): A primary target for playoff teams. The veteran rental brings established high-leverage and postseason experience to any contender's bullpen. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] Brooks Raley (Mets): Another highly coveted rental arm being shopped by New York, known for effectively neutralizing left-handed hitters and providing steady setup depth. [1, 2, 3] Sam Hentges (Giants): San Francisco's clear left-handed option on the trade block, presenting a controllable, matchup-versatile arm. [1, 2] Erik Miller (Giants): Part of the Giants' bullpen depth, offering teams an intriguing under-the-radar southpaw option for the middle innings. [1] Adrian Morejon (Padres): If San Diego decides to make him available, his electric stuff and high ceiling make him one of the most exciting young lefties on the market. [1, 2, 3] Brock Burke (under-the-radar): A reliable, capable situational arm currently drawing interest for teams looking to add depth to their relief corps. [1]
  9. Joe Ryan News: Twins All-Star Joe Ryan surrenders 6 home runs in start vs. Guardians, the AL's worst home-run hitting team. How about Sonny Gray. https://www.mlb.com/player/sonny-gray-543243
  10. Chourio K again, what the heck's wrong with him.
  11. Brandon Lockridge will also soon be on his way to join Triple-A and will travel there tomorrow to start his rehab assignment.
  12. If you score zero you won't win even if Randy Johnson in his prime was pitching.
  13. Gary Sanchez reminds me of Rhys Hoskins at the plate.
  14. He is a great person and teammate but I'm afraid father time has caught up with him.
  15. I found Justin Verlander's comments on velocity interesting. He said that he was throwing 93-94 early in games and if I needed to go to the well and hit 101-102, I could [do that] late in games, but I certainly wasn’t throwing over 100 every single pitch. You have to rely on pitch placement for longevity in the MLB.
  16. Misiorowski said. “I felt like I wasn’t in my legs as well as I should have been, but I felt halfway decent.” But everything works together so it is a little bit concerning.
  17. I agree and Durbin was 100% better than Lewis Rengifo but we did get Kyle Harrison, Shane Drohan and David Hamilton who by the way I haven seen in almost 3 weeks. Hamilton that is.
  18. 14 in a row now on a Caleb Durbin blast. Durbin has hit safely in 31 of his last 44 games, with 20 extra-base hits and nine homers. Batting .308 in his last 107 at bats.
  19. I can't stand Vinny, a homer above all homers.
  20. No way it was a hit and run with one out and a man on 3rd. No Way!
  21. He gets back EZ if he wasn't running to home. Remember there was only 1 out at the time.
