Jakob Junis has thrown 11,843 pitches that have been tracked by the PITCHf/x system between 2017 and 2024, including pitches thrown in the MLB Regular Season and Spring Training. In 2024, they have relied primarily on their Slider (83mph) and Sinker (92mph). He also rarely throws a Fourseam Fastball (93mph), Cutter (89mph) and Change (86mph).
Except Uribe still has to serve his 6 game suspension on the Brewers MLB team. Otherwise he would be a great add. Not a good choice unless we have a couple of series in a row against weak teams. That is a rough suspension he got. It penalizes the team as much as him. And I think they appealed it already.
Their primary need is pitching, both starting and/or relief pitching depth right now.
Either one or both, but we need another quality arm. We are injury riddled and only one
more pitching injury away from destroying our good start for the season. We are nickel and
diming just about every single game in the pitching department.
