Also Owen Miller is on the roster for the Brewers' Wild Card Series matchup against Arizona. This comes as a bit of a surprise given that Miller spent the final three weeks of the regular season with Triple-A Nashville, but the Brewers have decided to roll with 15 position players -- and only 11 pitchers -- in their best-of-three series versus the Diamondbacks. Miller, 26, batted .261/.303/.371 with five homers and 13 steals across 90 major-league games this season.

Jesse Winker? I know Winker is a much better clutch pinch hitter than all left off the roster plus has a good eye at the plate for walks and Councel does like those aspects of him.

My guess is that his shoulder still isn't 100% he was 1 for 7 since he came back and sure hasn't played much.

Corbin Carroll is the biggest threat because he gets on base the most with a .285 batting average. Geraldo Perdomo and Jake McCarthy have been slumping the last few months both batting under .200 in that period.

MLB said Woodruff is for sure out against Aroz and will re-diagnose after that series but it docent look good because he broke down in tears because "You wait you whole career for this moment."

DBacks pitching so taxed now Brandon Pfaadt With a 5.72 ERA. and a 3-9 record Could be Game 1 starter. Game 1's starter has not been announced, but based on the way they've structured the rotation so far, Brandon Pfaadt would likely be the choice unless they pitch someone on short rest.

The Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies will host the wild card round. If Arizona finishes ahead of Miami, it will head to Philadelphia. Otherwise, the D-backs will travel to Milwaukee. The DBacks will probably play all there 2nd string players today to face the Brewers is my guess.
