  2. Man, and I was already warming up my COOOOOOOOOP! cheer. What a let down.
  3. I wonder if we would have claimed Vogt is we weren't in first place. If we had the same record but say our division was more like the NL West where we would be in 4th place 3-4 games out of the wild card. We do seem to try to collect free talent whenever possible, but Vogt doesn't exactly fit in with a rebuilding team.
  4. Well the Oakland clubhouse is overflowing with poop isn't it? So that definetly isn't a happy place.
  5. Yah, that isn't happening. Unfortunately not even Woodruff era. Is it for sure oblique? I thought he was looking at one of his hands after he swung.
  6. Twin went worst to first for one of their titles right. I would assume that would be the one of the most improbable. Miracle mets would be #1. No wild cards back then like now. More teams to beat out.
  7. Well, sounds like this won't be an issue after Tuesday.
  8. Calf strains seem to be an epidemic this year with the Brewers, Braun, Guerra and now Peralta. The field at Miller Park might be slanted. They may need to regrade.
  9. Sad thing is this game should be tied. We struck out twice with runners on 3rd and less than two outs. Two sac flies gets us two runs. If Broxton doesn't make the first out at 3rd in the 6th we score two more runs.
  10. Woah, there has to be a better one. Heck I think I have seen better by Arcia. Really good display of how strong of an arm he has, but it isn't like he had to really rush it or do anything off balance. He was playing deep and made a nice dive, but he has a lot of time to get up and set his feet. Definitely a SC Top 10 play of the day...but I really don't think it was much more than that. This one is pretty similar. Yes, but Arcia's was better. Arcia was deeper in LF and threw a strike to first instead of a 2 hopper.
  11. Best play ever by a Brewer's SS? I'm having a hard time remembering a better one.
  12. Who's the inferior team, the Cubs or the Brewers?
  13. TH tweeted that DS said they were going to give Peralta more time to figure it out in the pen, which does seem fair considering the short time he's had to work on the conversion from starter to reliever.
  14. In Craig's defense he hasn't had a lefty in the pen for so long he probably forgot how to use one.
  15. I assume Bob Brenly is going to have to issue an apology tomorrow. Lots of old baseball dudes issuing apologies lately. Should maybe just keep their mouths shut. https://twitter.com/atf13atf/status/873403008440205312
  16. Speaking of former brewer MI. Mariners and Segura close to signing an extension. The extension is believed to be $70 million over five years, according to Hector Gomez. It includes an option for 2023 worth $17 million. Anybody know what we offered him a long time ago? Seems like he made the right call. Although I don't think this will end up being a good deal for Seattle.
  17. I'm fine with Scooter hitting a couple hundred homers against the Cardinals.
  18. The Cards are trailing the wild card by 6 games (Colorado and Arizona). Which means if we weren't leading the central we'd be trailing the wild card by 4.5 games. That seems like the best NL division so maybe one of those two teams slips in the second half. Probably for Arizona depends on if Pollock can stay healthy which seems to be a problem for him.
