  1. And the manager doesn't realize it. Finally gets someone up after he coughs up 3 runs and walks the next guy. I wish I could swear here.
  2. The squeeze bugged me. Not using Braddock vs. Pena made me mad. This damn near put me through the roof. Egregiously bad managing. That Cubs lineup doesn't have a ton of threats in it, and he let Ramirez beat them. Especially with a big GIDP candidate in Soto on deck. Unreal.
  3. I am still seething. With that freaking AAA lineup, and a base open, in need of a double play, WITH THE CATCHER ON DECK, why in the hell would you pitch to the one legit threat in the lineup? And the suicide squeeze. Jesus. I have a headache.
  4. I was thinking about this, and came up with an idea for scheduling it. Play a 3 game set against everyone in interleague play. So 3x15= 45 interleague games. Play 3 games home and away against the other divisions. 6x10= 60 non-divisional games Play 14 games total against the divisional opponents. 14x4= 56 divisional games. Comes out to 161 games. Losing one game isn't a huge loss for the owners, and would make the schedule more equitable, especially with interleague play. Like I said, just a thought.
  5. I love the way he plays. He kinda has the goofy hockey player mentality and brings it to baseball. I was thinking about his past last night, and have to think that coming to Milwaukee was a great move for him. Not to get all "Cardsy" here, but MKE fans love a guy who plays hard and shows emotion out there. Plush's brand of crazy works perfectly here.
  6. I think they are in the midst of three weeks without a day off. If Ron wants to sit a regular once or twice in that stretch, I'm cool with it. Now if Kotsay has 7 starts in this stretch, I'm gonna have a big problem with it.
  7. I really hope the amateurs who do the "boo him because he played for the Brewers" thing stay home on Tuesday. Cappy deserves a huge ovation.
  8. Can we please get a "Cardinals Hate Week" thread going? I know the Crew has games this week, but I am already jacked for this weekend.
  9. With 2 HR in those 6 AB. He used the pen last night like it was a playoff game with a 5 run lead. Even with that small sample, why not show that same urgency in a 1 run game tonight?
  10. Agreed. He had to have known Votto's numbers against Loe going in. That should have been Hawkins or Axford in that situation. I hate that he's strictly by the book when it comes to the bullpen, but then goes against every conventional wisdom by batting Gomez second for 2 months and playing Kotsay in CF. But the players like him, and he's not a jerk to the media, so he gets a pass.
  11. at Reds 0-1 at Marlins 1-3 vs Mets 2-1 vs Cardinals 2-1 at Cubs 2-2 at Red Sox 1-2 vs Twins 2-1 vs Rays 2-1 at Yankees 1-2 13-14, would love to be wrong but this road schedule scares me.
  12. No doubt. A little more planning could have extended this for a few days and kept some goodwill. They could have staggered the parks and times, sent a Bernie there, and given people ONE at a time. Like, from 5-7 at Lake Park, 8-9 and Humboldt Park, and so on. Do it in MKE today. Madison tomorrow. Appleton Thursday. That way they can promo the hell out of Spring Madness all week, and more people have a chance. And if the Brewers use this idea, I shall require good seats and two Miller Lites in return.
  13. Can't be too mad at McClendon. He was a Yunigregious error from being out of that inning. He made a good pitch to Fowler. Unlucky.
  14. First base was open and they still pitched to Smith. Oy. Makes my head hurt.
  15. Thoughts on the finale? I was hopeful after last week's episode, but personally, I thought the finale was brutal.
  16. Did a quick glance at the schedule and it appears this is the only Saturday game not on TV.
  17. Oh, I'm with ya. I had my crow medium-well. It was a little gamey.
  18. The Mark Kotsay "Eff You Brewerfan.net" Parade soldiers on!
  19. Agreed. Why have a long reliever if you're afraid to let him cover more than two innings? No Hawkins either? Ron is making it very hard for me to like him.
  20. Braun just missed that one. Frustrating. Might just be one of those nights.
