  1. My Roenicke impression- He's still a stubborn ass. There's no excuse for not walking Uggla in the 8th. None. If he's on first, two runs score anyway on a single. Why play the infield in and open up more gaps? It's just his idiotic reluctance to intentionally walk anyone, let alone their 5 hitter. Moron.
  2. So pissed. Had my tickets all ready, clicked "Buy" and got the error message. Tickets released, now stuck in the waiting room. I want their online system to die a fiery and painful death.
  3. Some luck, but he left some sliders and a cutter up in the zone.
  4. I worked for one of their companies and this is dead on accurate. They are all about the bottom line profit and if that isn't there, you're judged solely on how many calls you make. People are commodities to them, which is a large part of the reason you won't get a call back. I'd certainly go through other staffing companies, as there are a ton out there. I've had good responsiveness from QPS in particular.
  5. Thought he did fine with the call of Kottaras' homer. I like his delivery during the game, pretty smooth. He'll get better as time goes on.
  6. Huh. A lot of people were running into the same issue I had. I called TWC and they said I need to buy that package to get it. I hope they get this figured out before the next one. I love the Brewers, but with the Bucks fighting for a playoff spot, I'd like to be able to jump back and forth.
  7. Love Kansas City, have visited a couple times. The plaza area is really nice. A lot of shops, bars, and restaurants. Power and Light is okay as well. Definitely check out Boulevard Brewing's tour, very solid brewery. The WWI museum and Liberty Tower is great for history buffs, I really enjoyed it. Never got to the Negro League museum, that's tops on my list for the next trip. As far as BBQ goes, the best meal I've had there was at Jack Stack. Gates and Arthur Bryants are the the old standbys. The burnt ends sammich at Gates was worth the trip alone.
  8. The channel is active on TWC in Milwaukee, but it's saying you need the Digital Variety Package ($10.95/mo) to get it. Hope that's a mistake. That's nuts.
  9. I'm just looking forward to the first time a runner gets thrown out trying to score from third on a ball hit in front of him.
  10. Mbakwe got a 6th year waiver for Minnesota, no reason to think Otule won't since he's never transferred. Just my take, but Nolan peaked early, I think. Has had trouble staying on the court and will probably end up going JUCO. He's not the 4 MU needs at this point either. Very, very slim and likes to stray outside. One name to keep an eye on is Jameel McKay, a 6-8 PF from Milwaukee Pulaski. He's going into his second year at Indian Hills JC, one of the best JUCO programs in the country. Dwight Buycks also played there. He's getting high major offers, and it wouldn't shock me if he came home. Buzz is one post player away from that 2013 class being absolutely loaded with Deonte Burton on the wing, and Duane Wilson at PG.
  11. Yup. ESPN had a tape that could have sent a guy who was diddling kids to jail. And they sat on it. They get a situation that is not fully worked out yet, and they run with it. Reputation be damned. If Braun is exonerated, and I believe he will be, I hope he doesn't give the four-letter network a single quote for the rest of his career.
  12. They actually put a breathalyzer on the bullpen phone. He had to blow a .000 to get it to work.
  13. I'd love a phone call be placed to Terry Francona...
  14. Maybe he and Ron can carpool to the airport after getting their walking papers.
  15. I'm really disappointed. This was their shot. They have to replace Prince at 1B. Find a new left side of the infield. Possibly replace half of the best bullpen in baseball in the second half of the season. Not sure how they're gonna do that without trading some big pieces.
  16. On the flip side, who knows what happens if they don't put up 4 in the first.
  17. I'd be curious to hear what the eternal optimists have to say tonight. Depending on Randy Wolf to save the season? Yiiiiiiikes.
  18. There's an element of that, I'm sure. But knowing how reluctant Ron was to move Loe out of the eighth inning, Casey out of the 5 hole, Gomez out of the 2 hole, etc. I tend to wonder...
  19. RRR on Marcum and Game 6- "As far as I'm concerned right now, he's pitching again." Oy.
  20. That's why tonight was such a huge loss. If they could have somehow stolen one tonight, then they could conceivably get away with it since Yo would probably have two starts.
  21. The way I look at it is this... Game 3 is a toss-up with both aces going. They win, I feel a lot better. If they lose, things get scary. Wolf and Greinke on the road needing a win? Yikes.
  22. I'm not sure if Plush has jumped the shark... but he sure as hell sucks at getting a jump at a ball hit at him.
