  1. [ Im starting to lose patience with Dave Bush, my second favorite pitcher on the staff. ] 1 bad inning after a great June?
  2. Maybe this will turn out to be another Franklin for Villanueva deal. Whatever the case may be, good riddance Latin Cappy.
  3. I'm a big fan of waymore sports. It's only for major leaguers and it doesn't exactly have up-to-date stats, but it's much less bulky than the cube.
  4. Wow, Jai Rodriguez is wearing a Drop Bass Network shirt... Representin' the 414.
  5. Bittorrent and Bittorrent sites are not illegal. Some of the sites publish illegal content.
  6. I'm not having any issues in Firefox 2.0.0.4 or IE 7 ... What browser are you using?
  7. [ Is Braun not a hacker too? ] There's a difference between striking out and swinging at garbage.
  8. Phew, that was a close one... I thought Reid Nichols was going to have to hear about "Vroom OnCracken", "Sabre-toothed Mathematicians", "the boys" at "bs.net", and trying to convince everyone how his banning from Brewerfan.net was the biggest scandal since Watergate. Is that the 1530 AM in Oshkosh?... It's cool that he gets brewerfan-ish guests for the show, instead of people who just trot out cliches.
  9. One of the thing that irks me is when Colorado position players get accolades when their home/road splits display the obvious... Everyone was all over Barmes to be the next big thing in '06 when he was a .636 road OPS player. I really do think Braun will be the ROY this year... Pence is a total hacker, and those players generally get figured out by the league.
  10. Hey, as long as they end on the upswing, I'll take the bipolar seasonal pattern.
  11. http://www.benettontalk.com/76%20ballss.jpg
  12. Yeah, I don't know where the hell I got those payroll numbers from... Must have been from a previous season, my bad. The 2007 numbers are even more appalling.
  13. [ but do the Brewers really need yet another HR guy? we're already doing fine in the solo-HR category. I'd love a guy who could hit .320 and move Braun out of 3. ] I so no problem with a guy who gets on-base at a .358 clip being in the lineup.
  14. Good for them. Pittsburgh metro: 2,370,776 Milwaukee metro: 1,509,981 Pittsburgh payroll: $46,717,750 Milwaukee payroll: $57,568,333 With 1.5 times the population of Milwaukee, there's no excuse for being as bad as they are. I'm proud of their fans for organizing something to make a statement.
  15. [ The Brewers do not go back to the retro logo full time because of Miller Brewing needing/wanting that nice little tie in to beer under the M ] I don't think it's anything Miller specific, but sure, it's beer specific.
  16. [ Beast Light, If you read earlier discussions on this site, you'll see that Fatter Than Joey is no proponent of personal responsibility. His opinions on this come as no surprise to me at all. ] We don't look kindly on ad hominem arguments here at Brewerfan.net. Add something to the thread by arguing the point, not the person.
  17. You can use MS Paint, although I find that Paint.NET is just as easy to use and way more useful (and free). Or, if you need help, just let me know which photo you want, and I can resize it and even host it for you in my photobucket account.
  18. 3,000 hits = lock ... I think you're just preaching to the choir, here.
  19. [ Sorry to hear that Brian. ] I wasn't all that close to him... had only a few meetings with him, but it's still a very sobering thing.... especially when he's probably just like 35 years old. The point is that we should celebrate the good things in life (a Brewers win) and not sweat the small stuff (a Brewers loss). But by all means, if it helps ya'll be in a better mood after you leave the site so you can enjoy your Friday evening, vent vent vent.
  20. Petrick, 3.0 IP Wuertz, 2.0 IP Marmol, 1.0 IP Howry, 1.0 IP
  21. [ I am STILL ticked off. Yeah, we lost. yeah, we still have a large lead in the division. We lost to the Cubs though and -that- my friends drives me up a wall. I hate that team more than any team in any sport anywhere. I hate them so much it effects my mood when they beat us. I hate them. I hate them. I hate them. ] I'd be lying if I said it didn't put me in a foul mood as well... but then I got word that a former co-worker of mine has terminal cancer, it it put things into perspective. But yeah, this game was a festering bowl of dog snot.
  22. [ I am trying be mature and I am trying to keep this loss in perspective. Maybe someday this loss will be nothing more than an irrelevant footnote in the grand scheme of life. But at this moment in time, it's awfully painful. I am still in a shell-shocked state of denial. ] Everyone thought the no-hitter was the end of the world as well. It'll be ok.
  23. I just got done watching the game in reverse. I'm not sure why you guys are so upset.
  24. If Brewers19 reaked of pork, I'd be following him everywhere.
