  1. I'll be moving in spring and need to reduce the amount of boxes I have in storage. One of those boxes contains most of my bobbleheads that I haven't been able to display. So maybe I can reduce the box size if anyone is looking for something. It breaks my heart Jeff Suppan couldn't make it to the display shelf and must now maybe find a new home. All bobbleheads have their box. If bobblehead came with a bat, I left it in the box. Couple variant jerseys, check picture to verify. I brought them all to work in New Berlin, so I can stay late to meet and often come in on Saturdays, would just need to coordinate. Otherwise live in Germantown so can meet along the way, otherwise we can figure something out. Emails will get to me the quickest, add @gmail.com to my username. Otherwise PM's? Prices similar to bobblehead guide and are flexible. Not really looking for trades unless I could get a Bill Hall (really, I like him) or a Geoff Jenkins. I'll give it some time before heading to other means to sell these and will keep it up to date. Strike through are sold. 2001 Robin Yount $25 2004 Scott Podsednik $5 2006 Damian Miller $5 2006 Hot Dog $10 2007 Rickie Weeks $5 2008 Prince Fielder $20 2008 Ryan Braun $25 2008 JJ Hardy $5 2009 Jason Kendall $5 2009 Trevor Hoffman $15 2009 Jeff Suppan $4.99 2009 Bratwurst $15 2009 Doug Melvin $5 (2x) 2010 Hank Aaron $10 2010 Robin Yount $10 2010 Cecil Cooper $10 2010 Bernie Brewer $10 2010 CC Sabathia $5 2011 Randy Wolf $5 2011 Zack Greinke $20 2012 Yovanni Gallardo $5 2012 Bob Uecker $10 2012 Jonathan Lucroy $20 Sorry for large picture, wanted to let detail be seen. http://i.imgur.com/rFe2Ad4.jpg Edit: Thanks AJ, enjoy!
  2. Another fellow addict checking in. College was the worst, easily a 30 pack every few days. Post college hasn't been that bad but long work hours and not being a coffee drinker don't help. So a few years ago I stopped buying any for at home and for the last month I've been sticking to the diet mt dew variety. Still at 2-3 a day though. Would like to get that down lower still.
  3. I found a stream thanks to the ussoccer forums. The pitch was small as stated and groomed for cricket, so it was really uneven it seemed, made for some wayward passes. Then the rain and wind picked up in the second half, making it more fun. There were some miss communication trying to link up in the attacking half. Dempsey was even heard yelling at someone, forgot who. The width of the pitch also seemed to make it hard to get the wide players to send crosses in. I guess that was the plan with the small pitch setup.
  4. those make me sad, then I can't see my high score, I mean verify my motorbike's speedometer, the one in the Mitchell interchange is like that
  5. I typed up a response, but lost it going to preview, so I'm just going to post the link to the write-up I did after I went, see here Looking back, totally worth it, I would have liked if I had someone to go with and to spend more time there. If you do go, make sure you find out their policy if they're doing golden tickets, they went on sale the year I went on St. Patricks day afternoon - boo!And if you do go and get some bottles, we could meet up at a Brewer game tailgate and share some, I still have one 2010 bottle remaining, then we could swap some war stories about beer.
  6. I'll be in section 425, but thinking about standing in right field loge level, but might not do that as that's what I did for Game 2. Powder Blue Molitor for me, it's 3-1 in this postseason...
  7. I don't seek out illegal music anymore unless I really can't find it on itunes or amazon. I just got tired of bad files, crappy quality, etc. plus with an iphone, itunes is pretty convenient. I do download some tv shows and stream sporting events though. I don't have cable, I think it's too expensive, I can't justify it for the few shows I don't have access too. For the sporting events I stream, I would have to pay more than the standard cable charge, Premier League Soccer, MLS, and Chicago Blackhawks games. I use hulu for the shows I can. The problem I have is, my antenna facing south in Kenosha, picks up all the networks out of Chicago, except CBS, which it should, it's in the range and in the same direction as the other stations. So I don't have access to shows I should for free, so I download the shows on cbs that I should have access, that's pretty much my tv show downloading.
  8. Hemingway house and Truman's house are cool, there is also an old civil war era fort to walk around if that's your thing, did that with my dad, we also flew to another one, the dry tortugas, via seaplane which was fun in its own right, the sunset pier is interesting with the street performers and everyone clapping for the sunset, have some key lime pie while you're down there, don't have to point out any bars, you'll see plenty
  9. That's correct, I was at the 4/9 Cubs shutout. Morgan had Michael Jackson's "Wanna Be Starting Something" And Rickie was caught singing along with his song (don't know it) on the screen.
  10. I had the same experience, got an obstructed view first but didn't recall the location, got 3 sro's, their for friends so I'll wave at them from my seat, going to be an electric atmosphere I think
  11. I'm assuming this is in response to the NFC championship at Soldier Field? If so, the reason they did it is because Jim C the singer, is the Blackhawks anthem singer, the tradition has been going for a while as I remember my first ever Blackhawks game in the mid 80's they did it at Chicago Stadium, it was so loud, I couldn't hear the people around me, I saw their lips moving singing, but all I heard was the thunder of everyone cheering and people brought their OWN flags to the game, one was so big it was hanging from the upper level, to the next lower level where those people were grabbing it and waving it back and forth. Hearing that, feeling that, and seeing that was enough for me. For most it's a chance to get loud, for some you feel this energy in knowing that singing, cheering or just watching, most everyone in that stadium is on the same wavelength in the enjoyment and energy of the moment. TV doesn't do it justice. And if the Medal of Honor winner likes it, I like it.
  12. I really like the hops in the new Miller Park sign.
  13. I have been at my current job for 14 months, before that I was laid off for 6 months. I got the interview for my job through a family member and have been happy at the job. Though long term I make less than what I think I am worth and would like to be working in WI (Live in Kenosha, commute to Northbrook, IL) to think I will be here permanently, but I need the work and hate being jobless (I need that day to day activity). Before I got the job, I was going to networking groups to be around other job seekers, possibly find someone who had connections at places I was applying, that didn't happen for me because I only went for about 3 weeks, but I plan on using these resources in the future should I be in that position again. The groups I went through were: Workforce Development - Washington County - Under the calender you can see the event for "Networking". I found out about when I went there one day. Lumen Christi Employment Network - No link but if interested, I can provide the email for one of the leaders, I still get the roster email with alumni and current position seekers. This group meets in Mequon, at least when I went. There was even an off-shoot mini-group for technical/engineering types like myself. 40+ of Southeastern WI - Went once, had a presentation from a recruiter that gave a lot of insight on what it's like from their side of the desk.
  14. I just got my all-season winter tires for my car, came highly recommended by a legacy driver, the brand is also highly recommended by another friend who's used them for a few years. They're a bit more expensive than other brands, but the reviews and the recommendations went a long way for me. Can't wait to try them, I've had little confidence in the two other all-season (non-winter specialty) tires I've had previously on my acura http://www.nokiantires.com/tyre?id=11899&group=1.01&name=Nokian+WRG2 Personally, I really like my two wheel setup, winter/all-season and ultra summer tires. I think the wrx would like that as well. I'm not sure you'll have good success in the winter with those dunlop sp sports if my experience with performance all-seasons is any indication (mine were goodyear and michelins fyi)
  15. I agree it is technically not part of the engine, but the engine is designed to use the turbocharger for it's intake source. In fact without the turbocharger, the car would probably be very underpowered and struggle to accelerate, it may even switch the engine's pc into limp mode which would make the car undrivable. I think it should be completely covered by the warranty. The engine will not function properly if the turbo isn't fixed.
  16. So after applying for my plates in April, getting my smog inspection done, then paying the balance for my new 2011 sticker cause it got too close to the renewal date, I have finally got my plates last Saturday, just in time to be a week late for my July expiration. Good thing they also sent the wrong month sticker, I got January instead of July, using the email from my paperwork, which is the same as the one in the thread, they responded within hours and I now have the correct sticker. Anyway, look for the new M-style plate with BRMKRS on in attached to my silver acura
  17. I did the self guided tour about a month ago on a Sunday afternoon at the hilltop facility, just when I thought it was going to be lame, one of the gift shop girls decided to tag along and gave us an impromptu guided tour, maybe she was practicing for regular tours or maybe she liked my brother and I, either way, I'm glad she did as she answered questions and was entertaining and nice. I guess we just got lucky.
  18. I'll be at the game with my brother and his friends from college, last I heard he will be wearing a Tigger costume (onesie, actually pretty warm) under a hockey jersey, i'll be next to him most likely, costume-less lol.
  19. Anybody else watching channel 87 on charter and having audio cutting in/out issues? Just wondering if it's my setup or not. Otherwise 2-2 after 1st, can't complain, didn't see the first UMD goal, but second was nice. Big series, hope the badgers can get a win in one of the two.
  20. This thread needed a bump. Just tried my first Bell's Hopslam, I think I am in love. It really lights up my hop heart.
  21. I have the modern warfare night vision goggles. I can say that I am not disappointed in buying them. Check ebay to see if anyone is selling them. I think they work well for in essence costing $90. I checked http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ but they didn't have any goggles for cheap.
  22. I have just ended a long unemployment spell by taking a contract position. Hopefully somethings I have learned can be of use to you. A site like linkedin (think careerstyle facebook, good for linking with past colleagues, professors, professional contacts & groups; and showing that you are looking and what experience/background you have). I found milwaukeejobs.com to be one of the better job boards for the state. Another avenue is get involved with networking groups, you will be one of the younger folks there, but they are great opportunities to meet people who do what you might want to do or work/ed where you are interviewing. Not to mention they may know people with opportunities that match what you are looking for. The two groups I participated in were Lumen Christi Employment Network & 40+ Wisconsin but they are southeastern wisconsin groups. A good way to find local groups to where you are is through the local workforce development center in you area. Any questions, you can message me.
  23. So my brother got this jersey during the 2008 season, my family took him to a Cubs/Brewers game in May I believe just before his first deployment to Iraq with the Marine Corps, my Aunt who works for American Family arranged for her company to sponsor a package for him from the Brewers. In that package along with a hat, bobblehead (either Rickie or Turnbow) and name/good luck on the scoreboard was this Bill Hall jersey. I have been holding it ever since because he's the Cub fan and I'm the Brewer fan. I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of jersey it might be, bp or spring training, and what does the #267 mean on the necktag? If you have an approximate value as well that's great. My plan has always been to maybe trade it for some sort of game-used Cubs memorabilia, so if you are interested, that's what I am looking for. http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b254/stoops17/003.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b254/stoops17/004.jpg http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b254/stoops17/005.jpg
  24. If you go back to this report from 7/29, Fedor being in the ea video game could be a stumbling block for him coming to the UFC as Dana White has already said anyone in that ea game which rivals his own UFC game, will not fight in the UFC.
