  1. Once, 7-5. Then we got swept by the Nats. Won't happen again.
  2. Hart is 0-10 for the series so I think it's OK to sit him out.
  3. You're right, Provus did the 14th. It will probably also be the Must C Clutch or Must C Crushed on the mlb.com videos which give you the TV and the radio calls back to back.
  4. I was beginning to think The Tribulation had in fact begun. The world owes you Prince.
  5. I was behind the Brewers dugout and about half the seats were empty and of those there about half were Brewer fans. 70-80% after the 7th inning. Loudest for Hart's triple and when Ax got 2 strikes on Hawpe and then got him. It wasn't long ago that you'd see maybe 15-20 fans at most at Qualcomm or Petco. The Pads in last place, a school night and cool and rainy earlier in the day kept their fans away and the first of only two games against Milwaukee all year helped the Brewer fan turnout. It was nice to see and hopefully appreciated by the team. The thread comments sum it up pretty well. Yo made one mistake and otherwise gave up a bunt single and three hits that could have been handled. He did not have a lot of quick innings though. It was pretty clear that Braun and everyone else thought the Padres were conceding the run when he was on 3d. The out calls on Braun at home and Hart and Maybin at 2d all looked like they were blown. The IBB to Yuni was obviously the wrong call and couldn't have blown up worse for Black. Kotsay turned out to be all the offense the Brewers needed. Leaving Yo in for the 6th and bringing Hawkins in for the 8th were good decisions; I would not have wanted to push it for 2 innings with Estrada - he got a 2-0 popup, a fortunate out on the bases and then fell behind the next two guys before getting the last one so I think he was lucky to get through the 1 inning. Gomez is really bad at bunting. Ax seemed in control the whole way. Nice to take the season series from the Padres since the Brewers are clearly a much better team. 2 wins in row for me at Petco after 10 straight losses. Maybe they'll go 10 up after the 10 down.
  6. I believe the runner on third only advances if he is forced by runner's at first and second.Correct. If the batter hits a SF after the interference the batting team can elect to take the run and the out instead of the interference.
  7. Or maybe Casey could have hacked on 3-0 (Corey did in the 3d but fouled before the walk). I think that's 2-22 RISP for the series.
  8. Never heard Ueck talk about balls and strikes so much. He's calling out Jerry Layne by name. The called strike 3 to Betancourt was a joke and then he came right back and didn't give Wolf a call on a pitch right in there. Ueck's also abusing TJ Simers but how hard is that?
  9. “He hit me with an elbow and I said what’s going on, and that’s it,” Cedeno said. “I’ve known Weeks for a long time because we grew up in the Minor Leagues [together]. I’m surprised he gave me attitude. I didn’t say anything. I didn’t try to fight or do anything bad in the field. When you cross those lines right there, even though we’re friends … he’s trying to play hard. They do play hard. We’ll be friends, talking before the game, you know how with players it is. I’m surprised.” So it was the way it looked - Rickie thought if anybody had a complaint it was him and was surprised when Cedeno started whining. P.S. It must have looked that way to our Pirate fan friend too since he assumed Cedeno was apologizing instead of complaining.
  10. Infield hit by the pitcher and an HR golfed from Phillips' knee and that was it.
  11. Lyon's hit is probably a good thing since it means it's the last we'll probably ever see of Sean Green.
  12. 5K or 10K if he's a club member. It's pretty much all Uecker talked about in the 8th and 9th, especially after Yune's almost went out, there was a line drive with runners on 2d and 3d and they threw ball 4 to Gomez with the bases loaded. The guy is living right.
  13. I'm pretty sure Ueck was rooting for the Brewers not to score in the 8th.
  14. I agree with endaround. Betting the dog is a good idea when it's +200 or more.
  15. Loe just wanted to make sure Ax faces the bottom of the order. OK, what prophet said.
  16. For some reason my desktop will load the new gameday but not classic which is annoying.
  17. Nice to hear heeeeee struck him out swinging again and in a big spot.
  18. I'm getting the audio through Gameday, but for some reason the iphone App isn't connecting. Thanks. Took mlb.com about 20 minutes to figure out what they had to reset but fortunately they got it working before Weeks' AB. And Gomez'!
  19. Anybody else having trouble logging into the audio. I when I hit submit it clears the login info and doesn't log me in.
  20. Patti Smith - Free Money
  21. Seattle announcer says that the Brewers used to be known for their pitching not their hitting like now and mentions Mike Caldwell, Bob McClure, Rollie Fingers and Bill Haas. Quite the savvy old-timer they've got there.
  22. Yep, every HR for both teams is called like it's Mazeroski's or Carter's.
