  1. LOLZ, thanks for sharing Dean!
  2. My two cents is that around 12 should be the cutoff when you should get your own name on the back of a jersey. Little kids get a pass because they're little kids. When you become an adult, if you want a jersey, buy one of a guy you like and if they are no longer on the team, either keep wearing it, or retire it. The other option is to get a player who is already retired. Yount and Molitor jerseys are everywhere, but why not go with a lesser degree player? BJ Surhoff, Rob Deer, Jeff Cirillo, etc. That way it's a conversation piece and it's not a guy that will be traded or turn out to be a guy you can't stand down the line. The other thing that makes me snicker, is tucking in jerseys. They look way better untucked and your not at work, let loose. Jerseys look stupid tucked in.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered 4. (My wife "HAS" to have one of these, ha)
  4. Nice Moose, hopefully I get my card back from Lucroy soon. Ned Yost on 1979 Topps in blue sharpie (already signed by Ed Romero)
  5. Well done topper09er! That's the kinda stuff I was looking for.
  6. In the spirit of Will Ferrell playing all 10 positions for 5 teams yesterday (A tribute to Bert Campaneris accomplishing the feat in 1965) what are some other players known for wild moments during their career? I can come up with a few to get started: Toby Harrah once played a double header at shortstop and not once touched the ball Fernando Tatis once hit two grand slams in the same inning Kevin Kouzmanoff is the only player to ever hit a grand slam on his first big league pitch Dock Ellis once threw a no hitter on LSD John Odom, a minor league pitcher, was once traded for 10 bats
  7. @TwoFisted, we loved the first two seasons of Homeland. Everyone who I talked to told us that season 3 was so bad its almost unwatchable. Obviously that didn't stop you. The other show we've talked about starting up is Justified.
  8. Arrested Development is awesome and I never got around to seeing the newest season. I wouldn't mind watching that entire series again. Looking for a drama, but we tend to do both. (We've just started re watching 30 Rock, too)
  9. Tony Fossas 1990 Topps in blue sharpie Ed Romero 1979 Topps in fine blue sharpie (already signed by Ned Yost) Felipe Alou 1974 Topps in black pen Rick Auerbach 1972 Topps in blue sharpie Jay Aldrich 2 1988 Topps Traded in blue sharpie
  10. We're just finishing up rewatching Breaking Bad and need some help deciding what to watch. For the most part, I'm all set on British TV even though Black Mirror is insanely good and have heard really good things about Peaky Blinders. Any suggestions on what to watch next on Netflix? Thinking of Sons of Anarchy, unless there's a newer HBO or Showtime series we should look into? Thanks.
  11. Havent received them for any yet. Also haven't received my tickets for the Replacements concert that I bought around the same time. That's actually more concerning because the Rave sucks and probably won't reprint tickets that go missing. At least I know the Brewers will.
  12. Ya'll are gonna love this! Hahaha http://brewers.mlblogs.com/2015/03/04/bobbles-of-the-month-are-back-for-2015-first-up-the-ballpark-pup/
  13. At least they dropped that ridiculously stupid Rally Rabbit after they decided to drop the original drum playing Rally Rabbit
  14. ROBIN YOUNT!!! 1975 Topps (rookie). Personalized in black sharpie. STOKED.
  15. I was thinking about it. I mean, they did exist, and for some players that's the only card they ever had made. I haven't dug that deep though. I have a list of guys without cards, I should prolly start investigating the police cards. Thanks for the heads up!
  16. My wife does tomatoes, peppers, various root veggies. I try to just keep up with the herb garden consisting of basil, rosemary, oregeno, thyme, and maybe some other random stuff.
  17. 2013 Jimmy Nelson Bowman in black, kinda faded at the end. These glossy cards suck for signatures. 4 Don Money cards all in blue. 2 1973's, and 2 1977. Also answered questions. Didn't expect this one back, it'd been out for close to a year now.
  18. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-baseball/25084366/look-class-a-timber-rattlers-bringing-the-ridiculous-burgers-in-15 The grilled cheese stacked cheeseburger you've probably seen by now (and available at Comet Cafe), but a funnel cake burger?! That's something new.
  19. Kevin Mench. 2 2006 Topps in blue sharpie (one came back smudged).
  20. Got a letter from Jonathan Lucroy yesterday. I was pretty excited as it came in a personal envelope. Then I opened it up and it was just a pre-printed letter asking me to renew my ticket pack.
  21. Oh crap. You and me my be in the same boat. I sent out like 10 to Maryvale last week also. Grrrr. How did write the address? I sent mine as Maryvale Park Attn: Mr (Name here) 3600 N 51st Avenue Hopefully labeling the park itself will get it there, especially if it's only a few blocks apart. Still annoying.
  22. At least you don't have to clean it up, Matt!
  23. You made pretty good space with what you got. I get a basement to call my own come next October. I can't wait to see how fast I can fill it up.
  24. Looks great Matt!!! How big is your basement approximately?
  25. I agree, I don't see how the basic bobbles make it worth while to sell. Even if you get 25 bobbles from tickets at Bernies Terrace tickets at 6 bucks each, you can only sell em for 10-15. Ebay takes it's cut, paypal takes it's cut, and by the end of it, there's only 2-3 dollars profit. For the time that it takes to list them, then package em, then ship them out, doesn't seem worth it at all. Sure you'll get a few alternates, but does that really make up for the rest of the ones you got? It's the same with those same 10-15 guys in the autograph mafia that stand around for two hours in the Uecker line in hopes to get visiting stars like the Andrew McCutchen's and walk away with the Craig Counsell's of the world only to flip em.
