  1. I went knit cap, scarf, trucker hat. Last thing my house needs is more dishes to wash and more bags to find places for.
  2. Dean, That's a pretty cool story. Tim Dilliard is a a great guy. I follow him on twitter and have messaged back and forth with him. When he signed my card through the mail he wrote me a pretty great letter. I had asked him who the toughest hitter he's faced was and he replied "Yadier Molina, I think he's 6 for 5 off me." Ha
  3. Do you live in the Milwaukee area? If so, try Record Head on 70th and Greenfield. They have a ton of differnt systems. You can also try the Milwaukee Media Exchange. There is one on the east side and one near South Ridge.
  4. That Dave Roberts piece is a nice one. Probably the most famous stolen base ever. Right now I'm 9/23. I wrote to a handful of coaches, or my percentage would be much less. I just went through the list of cards I have to see how many of them have started signing again, their new address showed up, began coaching, etc. I have 15-20 more letters to write, taking a chance at 2-3. When I get through all these there's a buncha cards I'm gonna get from COMC.com and really get going. I'm at about 180 returns. After this next huge crop I might have to start scouring eBay.
  5. I'm part of that 0/6 on Wang. I got him on a ticket stub signed from him last year. I found he had a Donruss card, so I got that immediately, and hoped to get it signed at a T-Rats game (I think I contacted you about trying for me Turbo), but he was already in Brevard county. Really thought I'd be able to get him from Spring Training. Guess not.
  6. Ramirez never signs throught the mail. I'd see if he does a signing this season and mail it in there if you can't make it.
  7. Yup, I actually planned on calling them at lunch.

  9. Bill Schroeder 1984 Topps in blue pen Tommy Bianco Miller 25th Anniversary in black pen Jed Bradley 2011 Bowman in black pen Brandon Kintzler 2011 Topps in blue sharpie Kameron Loe 2012 Topps in black sharpie
  10. Still waiting on my Lucroy tickets...
  11. JohnBriggs, those posts were fantastic. When the stadium situation was ongoing, I felt that if the Brewers left, I'd try to follow the A's. I grew up a big A's fan due to the Bash Brothers, and have since always tried to keep up with them (though lately I've faltered). Today I would probably follow the Twins, White Sox or Tigers. Glad I don't have to think about that though.
  12. He's a relief pitcher. They really don't need stamina. Broxton has never looked like he's in any sort of shape other than round his whole career. You've seen Bartolo Colon, right? haha
  13. Got my stitch n pitch... now just waiting for the Star Wars game
  14. Pedro, BrewerJamie15, there's a buncha guys that disappeared since Darron Sutton was calling games and told me about this site in like 2005.
  15. fondy, I'd second Organ Piper. My wife and I used to go there around her birthday every year until she realized she had a wheat allergy. I'd suggest AJ Bombers on Water and Juneau for burgers. The decor is pretty fun, when overhead steel planes pushed to your table where a buncha peanuts fall into a bowl. You can throw the shells on the floor and I believe you can draw on the walls. Burgers aren't my favorite in Milwaukee, but they're still good. The girls might get a kick outta that. I'd go there closer to lunch time, I think nights it's pretty crowded.
  16. This is terrible news. Good guy, never met him in person, but loved talking music and all things Milwaukee with him. RIP.
  17. Got my Major League night tickets yesterday. I'm assuming I'll get the Jedi and Stitch N Pitch tickets pretty soon.
  18. I dunno how I forgot JC Kings. Their chilanga torta is to die for.
  19. In the Milwaukee area, what are some of your favorite places to go? I love trying out new places, but we don't go out for fine dining or tapas unless it's our anniversary. Some of my favorites are: Cafe Centro (Riverwest Italian) Cielito Lindo (Walker's Point Mexican) GTO'S (Bay View Mexican) Sobelman's (Menomonee River Burgers) EE Sane (East Side Curry)
  20. Yeah, it's not so good in S/T for me either. I'm 1/9 or worse. something like that. Got John Poff in black sharpie though. Miller 25th Anniversary card in black sharpie and a pretty good note in return.
  21. You can get that font from sporting/uniform stores like Burghardt's. The past few years during the Brewers rummage sale they would sell off numbers and letters for a buck each, too. Then you just gotta find a place to put them on. But I agree, it's stupid that MLB won't allow a custom jersey for former players.
