  1. Convenience fees are one of the worst things in the world. I just got gouged for an additional $28 so I could take my wife to see the Replacements. I've never spent this much on a concert, and I never will again. I'd rather the tickets were just a flat $65 a piece instead of feeling like I'm getting taxed 30% because of the magic of the internet. Total [expletive deleted by moderator].
  2. Turbo, do you have any updates on the minor league giveaways this year? I've updated the Brewers list, I'll take care of the minors as soon as I know. Thanks!
  3. The lack of a single racing sausage does really surprises me. Especially on the Stitch N Pitch. Isn't it better to complete a set first? Whatever, people will buy up tickets right away, and collectors will hafta get the brat next year. How many of the "heritage" racing sausages do they have now? Is that set completed? I believe they've done polish, brat, chorizo, and italian. I can't remember if there is a hot dog that's part of that set. Is that the breast cancer awareness one?
  4. That's a shame, Bikeage. I had always liked you before. I haven't even checked eBay on what these things are going for. I'm going to keep at least one of each for my collection, obviously. I'll probably hang onto both the Lucroys until I can trade one. However, if I can sell a Uecker or two to pay for the tickets, I don't see anything wrong with that. It does irk me that there are more Terrace Level available now for a few reasons. Cheaper to take 3 buddies to a game at 25 a head vs 39, demand will also go down to some degree.
  5. Sending out a ton of letters tomorrow to ST. Anyone know if Gantner will be there? He's gone in the past, I have some cards I got at On Deck to get signed but missed em. His return rate isn't the best, but I don't really need more commons laying around.
  6. I got 2 of the Lucroys and 4 of the Ueckers. Ueckers are only available at the $39 tickets. I'll be a gypsy all day.
  7. I park on the street for nearly every game of Miller Park, and I know a spot where the walk is about equal to that of parking in the lot north of 94, or the furthest lots east of the stadium. We can walk back to our spot, hop in our car and be on the freeway within 15 minutes of the last out. The only time we pay for parking is Opening Day (unless we meet up with others who are already in the lot), or if we'd like to tailgate. I'm good for a Bucks game about once every three seasons when free tickets fall into my lap. I don't care much about the NBA. I used to go to my fair share of Admirals games and would park on the street for those too. Parking is available pretty easily if you don't mind walking 3-4 blocks.
  8. That's a great piece! Happy 40th!
  9. SRB FOR THE WIN.
  10. Shirts can't be all that expensive to put out. During every single event in the summer Gruber is handing out free shirts all day. Granted there is only one color ink, but the shirts are way higher quality than the crap being handed out at the Keg. I have two shirts from last year, and the XLs went from looking like XL to still fitting, except it shrunk up to about my belt line. Ain't nobody got time for that.
  11. Did anyone pick up a Hank Marathon bobblehead? They were selling for 40 bucks, and they had at least 100 of em. I considered it but ultimately walked away.
  12. BCS, I found that name too and was thinking that could be the case as well. It's just weird since Surhoff also carried that number. Matt, I'm gonna hang onto it because it's the only jersey from that era that I have, but thanks.
  13. Got all the guys I wanted to go after, except Hisle since he no showed. Again. (Still got the card I wanted signed from a vendor for a buck, still waiting to get a ball signed.). Also walked away with Zach Duke and Figaro balls from Waukesha Sportscards. That place really hooks it up, signed balls are cheaper than blank balls. Picked up about a dozen cards for my first card project, and got a handful of postcards from prospects and one from Rob Deer. Got a Harper, May, Spivey, and a 90's jersey with 5 on the back. I was thinking it coulda been Jenkins, but the tag says 95 and "Hostetler" but the only guy who wore 5 that year was Surhoff, so now I don't know what's what. Line of the day came from Rob Deer. I thanked him for replying to my TTM request last year, he said "I'll always sign if you send it to the stadium, but just don't mail that stuff to my house"
  14. Posted this in the Major League Forum, saw this and deleted it. The signing is definitely an interesting one. I loved him when he first came on so I'll be rooting for him. But this is probably just more or less a AAA depth move. He probably will be released by May, if not sooner.
  15. Topps has a Hank baseball card that you can only get exclusively through their BUNT App, which I can't get on my phone. If anyone feels the urge to get one, and can also get one for me, that'd be great. I have no idea how much they're asking for em, but I kinda want one as ridiculous as that is.
  16. http://m.brewers.mlb.com/news/article/106614424/full-slate-of-brewers-set-to-attend-on-deck-fan-event Wish Garza was gonna be there, Cecil Cooper will be there though. Gonna be going after Parra, Lind, Smith, Counsell, Hisle, Gomez, and maybe Coulter.
  17. Is this only available for any home game or ANY Brewers game? Game 7 at Yankee stadium or Fenway would be incredible and probably a $1000 ticket or close to it. But how much would you expect a ticket at Miller Park to go for? I would think you could get into the World Series for a few hundred (maybe less?) if you don't mind sitting in the Terrace level. There's a buncha questions I have about this, yet, don't really wanna seek out the answer since I won't be buying one anyway.
  18. The Roll Out The Barrel is my favorite. I like the grey one a lot as well. I voted for the Stormin Gorman and the powder blue ball and glove one as well. But the rest are just kinda meh.
  19. I guess I shoulda put my post in blue. I remember hearing about that bobble, but I don't think I've seen it on eBay in a really long time. I recall seeing it a few times about 8-10 years ago on eBay, but I only collected SGAs so I didn't get it. I wanna say it was around 100 bucks back then, too.
  20. Thats the one. I've got four of em, and my wife has two.
  21. Where did you find pics of these? If I remember correctly there was another Japanese player from the Brewers that had a bobble in the early 2000's. Can't remember who, but that one is pretty rare, and it wasn't a star....
  22. Doug Jones in blue sharpie on 1998 Topps card. Forgot to send in his Miller 25th Anniversary card. Technically that was his first Brewers card.
  23. Got a Hank the Dog sweater for me and my wife for $80 each. We'll be wearing them in our Christmas postcards
