  1. So Jim, when everything is all set up and to your liking, can I get your favorite six pack, and I'll come over, have a few beers and take all this stuff in? My friends all enjoyed seeing all my Brewers stuff and signatures (and my HOFers weren't even displayed), but you have a a true museum brewing! My best signatures are probably Aaron, Koufax, and Mays on balls. About a month ago I found a Mantle signature in my mom's basement. It was in a scorecard that my step dad had. It was signed on a Marriott letter head and personalized to him. I got it graded at the National and it came back a 9. I was pretty happy by it all (though it was like 150 to have it aunthenticated). My uncle has Jackie Robinson, DiMaggio, and I think Ted Williams and Mantle as well. Someday I'd hope he'd hand them down to me, but he's got a step son now, or my aunt will just sell it off so who knows.
  2. Do any of you guys have the "Harvey List" membership from SportsCollectors.net? I wrote a letter to Brian Banks knowing he returns most of the time, but didn't look at the address first....Have another 20 or so letters going out today. Wanna get this one in there too. Thanks in advance.
  3. BCS, when I rip em, I'll letcha know when I come across it. Might not be for some time though. Will prolly be some Saturday in fall.
  4. two boxes of 83 Topps, a box of 85 Topps, a box of 86 Topps, a box of 92 Bowman, a box of 13 Topps, and a box of 13 Bowman Platinum. Might be forgetting one.
  5. I saw very little in the bobblehead department. There was a few Milwaukee dealers who had a handful of Brewers bobbles. There is one guy that has like every vintage ceramic bobblehead out there and they are very cool to look at. It's pricey, but awesome. I saw a GM 10 Mickey Mantle while there. All I could think was "So that's what 2 Million Dollars looks like in person" I got a 53 Mathews in a PSA 6 and a lot of unopened wax from the BBCE stand. Only saw one Aaron in a 6, it was too off centered and he wanted 300 more than I was willing to spend. That was my hot ticket item. They pop up on eBay a lot. Was also trying to find a few nice Jackie Robinson cards and again, nothing in the price range. I guess these people have to pay for tables, flights, room, food, etc somehow though. Jim, can you PLEASE post scans or photos of those sigs? That's incredible!!!

  7. Jim, I'll be down there Thursday as well...looking to get there right when it opens, not sure how long I'll stay. Prolly till mid afternoon. I'll be at the BBCE table around 2pm to meet up with guys from the PSA message boards. I'll prolly have a green backpack and a blue hip pack with a trash can embroidered in it if you choose to stop over there. By that time I'll be in possession of, or close to being in possession of a Hank Aaron rookie...starting to get really excited about this, i've been putting away money since February.

  9. I literally LOLed when I saw that piece on Fox Tuesday. I felt bad for his wife, but then not so much when I realized she's also okay with him tucking in his Packers jersey.
  10. Thanks Moose! I just send an email to a local card show dealer for about 250 commons. I gotta get going in writing more letters.
  11. Well I'm glad that I did absolutely nothing with my day when I coulda done this instead. Grrrrr.
  12. I vote custom job. Though an accepted offer was taken from the original 199 asking price. I just wish I was better at painting.
  13. I'd take ya up on the Hart, but I won't be able to get to Miller Park, and there's no chance I'll be at Pitchfork fest. You come find me on the Pedal Tavern in the third ward on Sunday before/after the game and I'll give you straight cash.
  14. Yer mailman musta been annoyed, haha that's an incredible haul. Yet it really doesn't match my Tom Trebelhorn 87 in black sharpie that I got today. Ha
  15. From 1250 WSSP: Hellweg sent down to A ball with the Rattlers to maintain his regular pitching schedule.

  17. Dude, get that thing signed at Legends and throw it up on eBay... I also wish I wasn't saving up for a Hank Aaron rookie right now and just had 500 laying around.
