  1. I'd be interested, however, someone was selling Mat Gamels 1st start and 1st HR from St Louis for 5 bucks. That ticket would be much harder to come by than Escobars since he made that start at home. If you want to sell it for the same price, I'd take one.
  2. If they do continue the alternates next year (which I'm sure they will), I don't wanna see a retro again, unless it's a retro player. Can we go back to the white or gray jersey regular, with the navy alternate? Mix it up a bit, Not all the alternates have to be retro jersey. Mix it up a bit. If they have a Prince derby one, do you think they'll have him in a batting stance for one, and the alternate is him untucked holding a trophy? It wouldn's surprise me, but it'd be silly.
  3. oops, that's an obvious typo...changed
  4. fans like you and me turbo?
  5. Hank Aaron having a second bobble released would be as good of a ticket as Braun or Fielder. He's a HOFer, Milwaukee hero, and his first bobble is one of the more valued SGA's the Brewers have released. That statement, is just silly. A Craig Counsell bobble woulda probably drawn the same crowd. Suppan and Kendall woulda been pretty close in numbers as well.
  6. The George Webb's eggs and hashbrowns commercial they play on WSSP 3 times an hour. I hate the "maybe that's just me" part at the end when the guy wants to eat there. Worst way to end any commerical, and there's tons of em that do it. Uecker does something similar for Usinger's, Bill Schroeder does something liek that for the Good Feet Store. Blech. Not funny.
  7. I didn't go, I was hosting a Packer party instead. I might not have set yesterday to do that had I known Melvin was signing before I invited people over. Anyone know if Melvin would inscribe anything? I would have asked him to put "08 Wild Card" It woulda been nice to get a ball. Hopefully I can get him at some point.
  8. The only thing I could think of to do that, is to give out little models of Miller Park. Which might just turn out lame. I know they gave out the snow globes in the past, and you can buy models of Miller Park at Jeff's, I'm not sure if they would do that, since the stadium isn't really "new" anymore.
  9. I'd probably be in on a Jennings jersey...I wouldn't mind getting a Garllardo jersey, but I'd like to see the real deal first, or get a review. There's a lot of people at the Keg with knock off Braun jerseys that look terrible. The numbers and letters are good, but the trim is just horrid. It's like a yellow instead of the gold twill the real authentics have.
  10. the material of those knockoffs are different from the authentic, but you can't tell unless you are the one wearing it. The guy who got banned screwed up my order and sent me the same jersey twice, then when he sent the correct jersey it was the wrong size...then my car was stolen and so was the jersey, so I still don't have a Nolan Ryan Astros throwback.
  11. I like It's Always Sunny, it reminds me of a lot of pointless comedy kinda along the lines of Seinfeld trying to have the edgy humor of Curb. However, It doesn't compete with either of those. Just wait until the new Curb season starts. The entire cast of Seinfeld will be on it, and I'd almost bet they are gonna address Michael Richards meltdown. That will be gold.
  12. wow, I got worked up just reading you two bicker. Sounds like you both got one, so who cares? There's 10,000 in existence, and probably less because I'm sure a buncha kids ripped the heads off.
  13. yah, but 10 bucks for shipping (5 if you pick it up) is worth it if you find items for dirt cheap....balls are 15 alone at most places individually (do they come with a cube?), and 8x10's are usually 5...worth it. B-Type autographs aren't even worth waiting around for at auto fridays or the lot if you can get em for dirt cheap on eBay through Legends when you know they're legit. My two cents.
  14. My cousin went, I'll try to find out what was all available. She was really hoping they could go down Bernie's slide, and she was gonna try to take a little grass and dirt to put in a film container (which probably wouldn't be that hard)
  15. We'll see how it pans out. I love the Office, but have started to get into 30 Rock. It seems like that show is on the increase as the Office is on the decline. But, those are the best two shows on regular television right now. I think that new show with Chevy Chase has potential to be great, we'll see how it goes.
  16. Craigs list, you might even be able to find a good working one for free.
  17. What opposing team's jersey would he have on? Chris Coghlan's? 15 Alternates! No Brewers! CATCH EM ALL!!!
  18. Tito, do you REALLY need to have the cd and vinyl version? I mean, I did that for the Leghounds, but still, that was only 3 albums. I know yer excited but I'd hold out for vinyl. You know can download em put em on yer mp3 player. Plus most vinyl comes with a free download now anyway.
  19. Nice find. I've been looking for that every so often since I heard it existed. It was always taken down though.
  20. It took 16 replies for someone to say something in the terms of "I can't wait to see his strike outs, so Miller Park walls flash up "GIVE HIM THE AX!"
  21. Essentially, this same thread is going on in the trading post area as well. Yo is a done deal. Italian is a done deal. Mark A probably. Counsell probably. Aaron was given out in 2001. Molitor was in 2003. Fielder has played in Milwaukee for 4 years and already has 2 bobbles. Braun has playin in Milwaukee for 3 years and has 2 bobbles. Cirillo played for Milwaukee for 8 years and has 0 bobbles (but holds the franchise BA record) Scott played for Milwaukee for 5 years and has 0 bobbles (but has 5 gold gloves (franchise record?)) I'd prefer no alternate jerseys, though if they do choose to do that, Cirillo should have his late 90s jersey and the current uni, wearing both 26 and 6, respectively.
  22. The ending woulda been a lot better if they were in a pennant race not fighing for third. Though I get it. U2 is terrible, the Eagles are terrible, CCR is great, Red Hot Chilli Peppers is probably my least favorite band ever followed closely by Pink Floyd, Phish, and 311. Can't wait to see Sugar, I'm gonna get it in my queue right now
  23. I've seen it on there fairly often, it might be more than you wanna pay buy it now (50?) but hold out for a auction. Unless you HAVE to have it immediately. I couldn't find a mini jenkins or clark for 6 months, so when they came up, I ended up paying more than I would have liked to since I got too excited. Thankfully I backed out of one of the Jenkins auctions when another one came up, the first one went for like 45, I got mine for something like 22. It's all about patience, and timing. It'll be on there, if I happen to see one, I'll letcha know.
  24. agreed, I want the Cirillo with that logo, and then the current logo, which would be great since he wore two different numbers. Yo and Italian are for sure I like the idea of voting for a player for the 70's, 80's and 90's and then having the two above. No need for more than 5. If I'm the marketing director, I'd have bobblehead games on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Weekends will almost always sell out. I'd make the vote-for bobbles not obvious ones that would win for sure (Aaron, Yount, Molitor, etc) players like Scott, Harper, Sanders, Deer, Higuera, etc. That'd be great.
  25. cuz one guy on eBay has like all of them...I heard rumors that he kinda talked Helena into doing them, and then got most of them? I dunno how true that is, but when that thread was going awhile back, I believe that came up...He's ccd7 on eBay, and sells tons of bobbles, mostly buy it now, and mostly overpriced from what they sell for as an auction.... When they first came out, I got 2 white ones at 75 each from Matt on the board. They were selling for more than that for a month or so after. Now they sell for around 35 buy it now. I'd imagine down the line the value will go up some, but finding a blue one is gonna be tough since everybody paid a fortune for theirs right off the bat, and no one want to lose money on them. I've actually won the blue one a few times at around 65, but the reserve of 300 wasn't met, so I actually lost. I dont get the reserve, if you want 300 for it, then make the starting bid at 300. Sheesh.
