  1. I had friends in Huntsville go to that game to get me one...I was laughing when they sent me a photo text of it. I'll still take it, I woulda thought for sure it was gonna be Gallardo. He's wearing a Stars hat which is cool, but yah, kinda a letdown. Oh well, they are really cheap on ebay (under 10) if you wanna get one.
  2. Hannah Montana also sold a billion records, that doesn't mean it's any good...it's all demographics, and kids love fast food. Checkers has really good fries, and their burgers are pretty descent too...i will second that in and out burger doesn't really have good fries either, I forgot about that since I've only been able to eat there 3 times in my life. Hot N Now used to have awesome fries, unfortunately that's a chain that is basically done thanks to Taco Bell (or KFC?) buying them out to use at a guinea pig for their items. The menu got all crazy and they went down the tubes. I used to eat at the one in Green Bay all the time when I went to school there.
  3. is the LaPorta ball on the sweetspot? when I got him in Huntsville, he personalized mine, not sweetspotted...oh well
  4. the only problem i have with culvers is that their fries suck. I'd take an In and Out burger anyday. I also used to love white castle, however, I don't know if they have a signature burger, and their pretty small anyway. I tend to just stick to the dollar menu because fast food combos are way too expensive when you figure for a buck or so more you can go to a fuddruckers or sobelmans and get a great burger. That said, I had the Angry Whopper at an airport once, and that was pretty great. Has anyone ever combined dollar menu items? I've done the Wendy's Columbus Burger (kinda an inside thing, my friends and I do this on Columbus day), Jr Bacon Cheeseburger on top, middle is the crispy chicken, and the bottom is the double stack, all using one bun (your choice which sandwich it comes from). If your inclined, put fries on there too. Awesome. One time i stacked three mcdonalds double cheeseburgers on one bun, that was a bit too much.
  5. the only time i went there i went through the secret entrance...i didn't even know it until no one bugged me about the password. finding the bathroom can be a treat too, especially when you've waited to long to use it...
  6. I believe 20fry has a whole bunch of them that he put a display case on...curious, how many is that, and did you pay for them individually? It's a nice way to add that into your room...I have 2, that I plan on finding a creative way of putting them to use
  7. I was bummed out Fielder wasn't gonna show, but to wait in line all morning to find out someone cancels 5 minutes before the signing starts sucks. Clearly it wasn't a split second decision that he didn't show. Had there been an emergency that they pointed out, I wouldn't have been upset about it. I appreciate they sent out the 5x7, but if that's the only chance I get to have Cameron on a ball, I'd want him on a ball. That's my gripe on it. Cameron might be the greatest signer and nicest person in the world. I have no idea. One can also make the claim they spent 25 dollars on a ball for no reason. I personally didn't, but I know an older couple behind me did. Chances are I probably won't send them anything, they could have rescheduled the signing for the 150 in line for a later date. That may have been the best possible solution, just an idea. Whatever, I'm over it, but if someone has an extra Cameron GG inscribed ball, lemme know.
  8. Its batting practice or spring training because his number isn't on the front. Still valuable no doubt, but not official game work. (he prolly went 0-4 in that jersey no matter if it was spring training OR batting practice anyway)
  9. Need a Chorizo? I have an extra I would trade. Inbox me if interested.
  10. ya, I got mine today too...I plan on writing an email as well, but it's not gonna be much of a thank you as it will be "i wasted my time" if his wife was going into labor or something, that'd be one thing...i don't think they ever gave a reasoning, still irked by it all.
  11. Is there any place to catch these online without having some membership? I'd really like to see Ricky's speech.
  12. If you pick the item up, it's 5 dollars for shipping. It's a 20 minute drive for me, and I haven't done the math, but I prefer picking it up. Cuz 10 bucks to ship an 8x10 is insan it cant cost more than 1.25
  13. Probably yes on both. Lemme see when they are and what I can do. Motorhead is still available.
  14. I'm missing a bat from an extra Carlos Lee, but that was so long ago, I figure I'd walk over there, and the entire staff would start laughing at me.
  15. Any interest in a Barry Weber admirals?
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...em&item=350227216772 I considered bidding on this, but I've never heard of a high school doing any kind of giveaway. Seems like it'd be a retail thing. Can anyone confirm anything?
  17. I have a friend who works at the Rave that gets me free tickets, that normally I don't use because of the band or whatever. I'll be at this show though!!! I'd trade a pair for a bobblehead or something relatively common. Lemme know, cuz Motorhead rules!!! If there are any other shows coming up at the Rave, lemme know, i can probably help you out
  18. MILFAN might not be more relating to hot moms than brewers.
  19. He's some guy who buys up lots of cards, that end up being worth millions. Who knows what he did before he collected. I really have no knowledge of him or anything. Apparently he brings the briefcase full of cash to buy whatever you have for sale, with cash. When we got there, he wasn't even set up, he was just sitting there, and behind him was his briefcase, which brought laughs...his table was getting set up as we left....
  20. Lots of cards and signed stuff, tons of jerseys as well...all and all about 15 bobbleheads scattered, which was a total dissapointment, as that was my M.O. I did find a bunch of signed 8x10s for 5 bucks each, including the late great dock ellis, which got me pretty excited. I had an epiphany while I was there that I dont need anymore non-brewers/mke braves autographs unless they come for free or super cheap....so I didn't bother getting any players. Alan Rosen and his briefcase full of cash was also there, and while he probably has the best collection around, the briefcase gimmick brought my friends and i a good amount of comic relief.
  21. I used to DJ twice a month at the Riverhorse (Pierce and Center) from 10-2am. It was great. I got paid in free beer. I always stuck closely to vinyl only going to my iPod for requests. Sometimes that didn't pan out either. I do know of people that have set up playlists, and just played those while DJing. I gave them hell for it. Because of my teaching job, I only get to DJ during the summer, and right around Christmas. I'll be DJing there Tuesday the 28th actually. I always spin a mix of power pop, pop punk, hardcore, and the like. Best time. Probably a ton of stuff you've never heard, if yer into that, come by 2 dollar PBR tall boys, and cheap rails. One time my old band DJed at the high hat garage, we drank for free until they cut us off after the 5 of us burned through our $225 house tab, and then they payed us 100 bucks at the end of the night. It was insane, and probably the greatest time I ever had.
  22. Anyone going this weekend? I'll be going Friday for stimulus day. Not sure if I'll get any autos or just buy stuff. I kinda have a feeling all the tickets will be sold out, but I wouldn't mind getting Jim Palmer, Pete Rose or Johnny Bench. We'll see. Mostly I'll be looking for random Brewers stuff. I dont really know what to expect, but I think it'll be a good time. Are most dealers prices similar? I dont mind if it's a few dollar difference, but obviously you don't wanna shop around, then go back to something only to find out it's gone. Finally are there ins and outs? If I have to stick around there for 7 hours, I probably would want to unload stuff in my car without paying for admission more than once. I'd assume there is, but I'd like to know in advance.
  23. I wonder how many tickets were available to begin with, between 9 packs, 20 packs, and other presale, i'd think maybe at most 1/2 of what's available? 1/3? Great promotion, but I didn't get in either, next time they do that, I should just get up early and go to the ticket window
