  2. Got it. Saw the first two on their page, just couldn't find the other one. That Griep one is pretty funny. Thanks.
  3. Outside of A-Rod and Ortiz on the top of the promo announcement page, I couldn't find other ones online. Where are the promo pics you were speaking of? On that same page it says "See all 11" but it's not allowing me to click to another page or anything. Thanks.
  4. Any updates on this situation?
  5. The girl did come to my class to apologize, I've had her before and I know she wouldn't intentionally break something. But as you guys said, it would've been nice for the counselor to write a note instead of me having to ask a principal if/why there was a meeting in my room. The counselor and I get along pretty well too, but he was obviously not happy that I thought someone should replace my ornament. Though I wasn't happy it had to be replaced to begin with.
  6. I have this Charlie Brown style Christmas tree on my desk in my classroom. Today I walked into my room and all the needles were no longer on it, and my lone ornament, a Polish racing sausage was in pieces on my desk. I soon found out there was a senior meeting in my classroom after school that I was not made aware of. Apparently a girl bumped my desk and knocked over my tree and that's how my oranament broke. The meeting was held by the guidance counselor. Talked to him and he told me what happened. Told him "Well, who's gonna replace it?" and he gave me $10 bucks. I was able to buy just a regular Brewers ornament on eBay. But the only racing sausage they had was $13 before shipping, and I wasn't buying that. Super annoyed and bummed out that there are vacant classrooms in our building, and they used mine. Also that I have classes all day and in two weeks none of my students have came close to bumping it. Some random students come in my room after school, without me knowing, for a 30 minute meeting and break things. Happy holidays. Blah.
  7. ^^^I dunno, seems that I've seen the Brewers in retros at the On Deck events. If they go back to the Ball and Glove, I'm fine with that I guess. I do like the barley logo a lot. I'm mostly only sick of the ball and glove logo cuz they tie it so much with the 82 World Series. The most celebrated team to ever lose in a championship. The way they marketed it for so long (though they've cut back) you'd think the 82 Brewers were the 27 Yankees.
  8. At least it's not Oregon Football. http://uniformcritics.com/football/college/oregon-ducks/
  9. They did a Roosevelt one too recently, I've been lookin for that one if anyone has one to sell, for cheap ($10)
  10. Turbo, I used to use Image Shack when I posted pics here, you didn't have to have an account and uploading pics was pretty easy. Haven't used it in quite awhile since I moved to photobucket. I can't imagine what else they would do besides the Brat this year. I really hope so, as my display case only has room for one more, and then I'm done with that set. The only thing I could think of would be Bonnie Brewer, which, if they were going to do it, I think it woulda been done the year after Bernie.
  11. I would also think selling them as a lot would be your best bet. My friend sold about 15ish for $75 in spring. Between eBay fees, Paypal fees, boxing em up, shipping em out. You'll be making like $2-$3 an hour, tops. I would also consider holding them until next spring when people are excited about baseball again. That will probably help. Many collectors have shifted full force into football by now. I can't speak for everyone, but I won't do much with my collection from September until February the Brewers' On Deck, and then I get anxious about the season, and start buying things. There's some guy on eBay named Bobblehead Jake, maybe try contacting him. I'm considering it myself as I plan on dumping at least half of my collection this winter as well in hopes I can get enough back to buy one or two high end baseball cards

  13. Here are just a few thoughts: Some families do not get to go to as many games as others. Travel, cost, etc. When those families do go, they may base it around a certain bobblehead game. They may want to tailgate and take in the entire experience. I find it hard to do that if you have to get in the lot and be sure to get a bobblehead. The bobblehead "market" is not nearly as strong as it once was. In the past you could flip em on eBay for your ticket cost. Now they are on eBay weeks before that giveaway as a presale. The market is flooded. By the time you take the time to put it on eBay, the auctions don't go for much and the Buy It Nows sit forever. If you happen to put it on auction, you have to realize you need to box it up and drive it to the post office. eBay gets a cut, Paypal gets a cut, and you get $5. Some people will argue that they can get more, but just look at recent sales. The market has essentially bottomed out. Minor league ones will draw more because there is less of them. Bottom line: Someone is gonna be upset. Danged if ya do and your danged if ya don't.
  14. Rueben Quevedo memorial bobblehead day.
  15. It's the same handful of us that discuss bobbleheads on every forum, and we're all collectors to some degree. I didn't have to read this thread to know who wants less bobbleheads. That became painfully obvious years ago. As most of you already know, I got out of the chase pretty much altogether a few year years back because it was too much, and when the Timber Rattlers opted to giveaway 29 a year too, that's when I was completely out. However, I'd really like to hear what the non-collecting casual fans say/think about bobbles. Also, who's to say they won't have more theme night issued bobbleheads? Those are more ridiculous than the normal ones. The Uecker alarm is the best thing they've done in 5 seasons. The only bobblehead giveaway they need to do this year is that last sausage stitch n pitch to complete that set.
  16. Did anyone go after anything? Outside of those big ticket items, there wasn't much that I was interested in.
  17. Is the jersey sold? The posting is gone. Is/was the jersey authentic or one from China? Sorry for all the questions, I haven't checked these boards in a few weeks.
  18. Obviously it works because people have, and will continue to spend 90 bucks on it. Sure you got some other perks with that, but mostly people wanted the signed bobble, and that's a lot of dough for a Vaugn signature. Especially when he's been at a few On Decks the past few years, and he signs through the mail for free, too.
  19. I can't attend the game, so I'm not dropping 90 bucks for someone else to pick it up. I can get it signed at On Deck next year if I really want it. Oh well.
  20. Is there a link? I can't seem to find one.
  21. I saw that. It makes sense, it'd be difficult to have four guys full size. The base would be huge.
  22. Last season I was listening to a game where Uecker poked at the ridiculous amount of bobbleheads being given out, when he said "Come on out folks! All fans in attendance will receive a Ruben Quevedo bobblehead." RIP
  23. Yeah, he's the only one I was unsure of. I think they were banking on this being a breakout year for him. I'd rather have him than Garza tho, and Davies isn't proven enough. Came down to basically Blazek, Thornburg, or Jungman. Unless of course they wanted to go with Capuano, which I'm sure wasn't even a thought. Starter, setup and closer is a lot more marketable than mid reliever or mop up guy. Either way, next year when they market Brewers as superheros and movie characters, (They could have as many as 5 I'm guessing), I'm staying away. I'm not even sure I want my Lucroy "Protector" bobbles or the Star Wars ones. I'm keeping the Ghostbusters though, I have a tattoo of the Ghostbusters taking on Stay Puft.
  24. I never heard anything about this one until I was scrolling through some previous eBay sales and saw it. 2012 I was still on top of everything bobbleheads.
  25. I like it. I really thought they would do Yount, Molitor, Fingers, and Aaron. Glad they steered away from that. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l265/bikeage77/ghostbusters_zpscjc95s8x.jpg
