    Freddy won’t turn 30 until June…..so a 5 year deal would take him through age 35 so not late 30s. Still not sure Brewers would do it but as KC points out there are all kind of possible outcomes after a lockout. In the NBA now they have a maximum length on contracts for example.

    RIP Wilbur……I remember him fondly for starting both games of a doubleheader when I was a kid.

    I have to say I’m getting pretty fascinated to see the end result of this…….Arnold is obviously being very patient…….which might lead fans to have inflated expectations of what a return might look like. Im ok with keeping him obviously……but it sure seems like there is too much smoke to not have a fire.

    I’ve never seen this amount of anger from every fan base that isn’t the Dodgers……not after the Ohtani contract…..or the Soto bidding war that the Mets obviously won…….this is hitting different.

    When I see fans of the Mets, Phillies, Yankees, Giants and Blue Jays calling for a lock out this might just be the straw the broke the camels back…….
