    According to Woody it wasn’t a big tear….. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2023/10/31/brandon-woodruff-milwaukee-brewers-starting-pitcher-goals-post-surgery/71392038007/

Woody on the Foul Territory podcast has not yet spoken with the Brewers about next season…..said that will happen soon. paraphrasing “The brewers drafted and developed me ….I’ve been so fortunate to be with one organization and one coaching staff for my entire career. I understand how the business works……I’ll make this clear….I fit in so well with this city and this organization…….and my hope is to be a Brewer for a long time….that’s what I want”

Good rundown in the Athletic from former Brewers beat writer Will Sammon https://theathletic.com/4999030/2023/10/25/mets-interview-craig-counsell-manager/

Melvin was under contract and the Padres were ready to move on…by all accounts he and Prellar didn’t see eye to eye…that is a totally different situation ….with CC being a free agent and still being wanted by his hometown employer. He still could leave obviously but to read into it as a “done deal” is just your emotions leading you to your biggest fear.

I don’t see Yelich being a primary DH next season. i see him as the everyday left fielder with some time at DH along with others. Unless he proves capable of moving to first…….no reason to think that is likely but I guess it’s possible.

Interesting…….so does this mean he is no longer subject to Arbitration? ps apparently he has the right to reject this and elect free agency

I don’t subscribe but it seems BA is quite high on Craig Yoho….as soon as next year

    425 to right center……….nice

It’s almost like they feel pitch framing shouldn’t be rewarded…….even though it’s likely the most important skill for a catcher.

Brewers great defense this season not rewarded with voters

Hitting homers and shutting down the other team seems to be a good way to win baseball games in the post season…….works pretty well in the regular season too now that I think about it.

Struggling Trea Turner seems like a long time ago…..

Brewers don’t think this injury is related to the prior shoulder issue https://www.mlb.com/news/brandon-woodruff-has-right-shoulder-surgery

Just brutal for Woody and the Brewers

I know it wouldn’t be great for TV ratings but I’d love to see Rangers vs DBACKS or even Phillies in the Workd Series .

3 walks with 2 outs in the 7th quieted that place down in a hurry

The loudest I ever heard Miller Park was the walk off winner for T Plush……the place literally shook……I actually blacked out for a few seconds…… It was amazing

You know baseball is a business right? They benefit financially when more teams have a chance to make the post season…….just like the NFL and the NBA…more fan bases engaged in September……more excitement ….its also why the NCAA tournament has at large bids and not just conference champions.

With all the Arcia stuff over the last 24 hours it reminded me of that situation where Machado purposely kicked Jesus Aguilar in the playoffs a few years ago……..there was an article in the Athletic (back when they cared enough to have a beat writer for the Brewers) and Yelich was in the clubhouse and was quoted as he walked through the clubhouse saying “ F#%k that motherblanker”. …you get the idea. Anyway……it was never an issue……Yelly said it…..he wasn’t talking to a specific reporter but it was heard and it made it into a story. I loved it.

    He’s not getting fired…….easy now.

And the Dodgers 2 superstar hitters have done almost nothing……
