    Really sucks that BA is only doing 50 games .....such a huge drop off from him to everyone else. I won't miss Lepay but I actually liked him better then Levering.     Of course going all out for a championship doesn’t guarantee that you will get it…….not even close…..so as a small market team you could easily……sell out to win one……not win it…..and then suck for decade while you recover. I think I prefer many years of good baseball and hope that one of those years results in a championship.

    David Stearns characterized the decision to part with Andy Haines as a difficult one. He declined to go into the specifics beyond runs scored/batting average/etc. of why now was the right time. "We thought a new voice, a little different framing of message, might be beneficial."
