  1. He's the last guy in for me. It wouldn't surprise me at all if he doesn't make the squad Matt Albers made the team in 2018 and 2019. I think veteran presence makes Boxberger a near lock on opening day, but if he shows signs of control issues he's had in recent years, he might be gone by Mother's day. Albers was signed to a 2 year major league contract that was guaranteed.......Boxberger was signed to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training. I'm not saying Boxberger won't make the team....but his situation is totally different.
  2. Brewers also were in on Rosenthal Robert Murray @ByRobertMurray · 20m Sources: Brewers among teams talking to free-agent reliever Trevor Rosenthal. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal · 6m Source confirms: Trevor Rosenthal to A’s, one year, $11M, pending physical. First: @JonHeyman .
  3. I looked at the date on this post 3 times and re-read it four times and still thought, "JJ Hardy?" I had to look up who Hardy was because I had no recollection of the Brewers signing anyone by that name.....lol
  4. I don’t see Hardy on the opening day roster......not coming off of TJ surgery.
  5. Shaw is also a very good first baseman IIRC.....which will come in handy as a late inning defensive replacement for Hiura......assuming he makes the team of course.
  6. Another quality defensive option at both third and first.
  7. Travis Shaw
  8. So it appears to be a PTNL and cash.......so the player changes if he makes the team probably?
  9. He has that championship pedigree!
  10. No options but obviously a cheap deal ....PTNL or cash
  11. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-teams-that-could-surprise-in-2021
  12. Yeah....Brett Anderson for one. I’d be fine signing him......can’t count on Lauer or Hauser.....certainly not both. Peralta is a bullpen piece at this point IMO.
  13. He’s gone
  14. Sounds like a plan to me.
  15. Charles Woodson never wanted to sign with the Packers.......he did because nobody else wanted him.....he was phenomenal for them and grew to love being a Packer. I wouldn’t t worry about him signing here and not being happy.......I’m sure he has already talked to Grandall about how much he enjoyed playing in Milwaukee......maybe Jimmy Nelson too.
