    Bump…….we lost our GM who wanted to go back to NY and manage the team he grew up rooting for as a kid. We lost our manager who wanted so badly to reset the salary market that he left his home town team and moved 90 miles south to their biggest rival. He built an organization that has done nothing but win the last 9 years in the smallest market in the majors………promoted from within at every turn…….and trusted his guys. Now we are going back to the WS…….just one more step to go. What a ride it’s been.

    I know it’s game 3 and we are up 2-0 but it almost feels like game 7 to me……not sure I’m going to survive if we actually do face an elimination game. Last year by this time it was much easier……we pretty much knew it was over by game 3.

    A lot probably depends on what the next CBA looks like…..if there is some form of revenue sharing with a salary floor/cap…..or something not called that but functions similarly…….brewers and other small market teams will have bigger payrolls and all of the old formulas won’t necessarily apply.

    How we doing? Henderson started at home…..gave away a few runs…..but the boys picked him up……one of the best post season. Pitchers couldn’t get to the 4th inning…….Bauers with epic at bat……the captain gives us the lead………Wild Bill calls game….. May and Romero did the job…….and Ashby with an epic 2 day performance. Does that about cover it? 😎
