    Agree. I'm not giving up tons of young controllable talent for 1 player. Too much risk involved. Stick to the plan.

    I think the staff has made it clear they don't trust Villar at SS. If you swap,out Miller for Sogard then you are going to have to play Perez or Miller at short when Arcia sits. Hopefully Saladino will be back fairly soon.

    Lots of guys are struggling at the plate not just Santana.......it happens. You just hope they get hot as the season goes along to get back to close to career norms. If not we won't have to look hard to find the reason we missed the playoffs.

    So is the strategy to try and build relationships with kids like this now even though they obviously know he isn't signing? I mean you could have a scout call the kid and tell him that without using a draft pick on them......I know you aren't going to sign everyone but the MLB draft is just kind of bizarre to me. How many guys out of the 40 drafted typically sign?

    No specific names but this is the best Stearn's impact IMO. What an amazing transformation from a few years ago.

    #Brewers know Brice Turang very well. He played on their Area Codes team in Calif. They know him as a player and a person. Couldn't wait to call his name at No. 21. For second year in a row, scout Wynn Pelzer's guy goes in first round. Regional supervisor Josh Belovsky also in. TH tweet

    Almost unheard of to draft guys in the first round and not sign them these days .

    Are they? Seems like they are/were extremely good at manipulating the prospect consensus into ranking their prospects very highly, few of whom ever panned out. Corey Knebel turned out to be a good one! Corey was drafted by the Tigers

    Yep. Just because Albers had a couple of bad outings doesn't mean the strategy isn't sound. If Suter would have been left in and given up a hope run in the 6th people would have been roasting CC for not taking him out. His thinking is sound......sometimes it isn't going to work. Relax and enjoy the season. Players will decide our fate...not the manager.

    Well we were due to have a series like this......too bad it had to come against this terrible team but that's baseball. Hope to get a split now vs Cleveland but get the feeling this is going to be a tough road trip.

    I am Braun has .261 BABIP, far below his .329 career rate. He also has 22.2% line drive rate, highest of his career. Yet is batting .232 with .713 OPS.
